The site of Xilin Religion is located in Ding'an Town, Tianlin County. Since 1852, French invaders sent Catholic priest Malai to preach here. Malai and others have no official government and are reckless. In 1856, Zhang Mingfeng, the governor of Xilin County, beheaded the three men and others in Ding'an Religion according to law. France used this as an excuse to wage the second opium war against China and forced the Qing government to build a large Catholic church here.
