The former residence of Tamaka Watanabe, who was a disciple of the Japanese painter Kawai Tamado, is located in a residential area of Nakaochiai 3 chome, Shinjuku-ku, about 8 minutes walk from Ochiai Minami Nagasaki Station on the Toei Oedo Line. This area was once called Mejiro Bunka Village, where Hakone Land (later Seibu Group) developed and transferred based on the cityscape of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles in the 1920s before the war. Even now, there are few buildings that retain the remnants of those days. This is one of the few "Watanabe Tamaka Former Residence" ...
