Oh wow! So inspiring and interesting! I have spent couple of days while visiting Beijing just exploring this art district and it is an irreplaceable experience. It is abundantly rich with art, both traditional and contemporary, Chinese and foreign. One might need several days to explore, since there’s so much amazing art to see. The current exhibition included some of the greatest masters in the world of art, also an amazing exhibition of a famous street artists on display here. Since it’s the coming of the Year of the Dragon, the dragon exhibition was a specially satisfying experience! Apart from art galleries, I have stumbled upon great restaurants, antique stores and garments shops. The entire concept is very well thought of, since you don’t have to run around a huge city like Beijing to see some of the most amazing artists on display, it’s all here! Some of the galleries are free entrance, and some require a fee, but it’s well worth the price for sure! I will surely visit this area any time I come to Beijing. The location is also super convenient, not too far from the city center, and Didi costs around 40 rmb both ways. Just get your walking shoes ready, you will probably spend the entire day here if you come, it’s absolutely worth a visit!
