Peaceful, historical, and full of natural beauty!

Beautiful village in the hillside. I biked to Hanazawa from the train station and it only took around 30 minutes. The old wooden homes and buildings were beautiful tucked within abundant greenery. The...

    Hanasawa-peaceful countryside village

Hanasawa is along the old Tokaido and has served as an entrance to Nihonzaka pass. The Tokaido was then rerouted and the village seems left behind. There are about 30 or so homes along this winding ...

and we had a wonderful mountain walk.

    Original Text

When I walked from the sea side to Mankanmine, I passed Nihonzaka Pass on the way. There are many highways and railways around here, and there are many tunnels, but the mountain road was thick and quiet with trees.

From the Mankan Peak where Mt. Fuji can be seen to many flowers

    Original Text

Come to the mountain "Mankanho" where you can see Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately, Mt. Fuji is not visible today because it is cloudy today. Lunch overlooking Shizuoka City. After that, heading for Hanazawa and going over the ups and downs, you will arrive at Nihonzaka Pass. The pass is on the highway and you can see both Shizuoka City and Yaizu City. I remember that the aorta stopped in the Nihonzaka tunnel fire accident! !! How many years have it been since then?
