Jingbianying Ruins

Guangxu nine years (1883) Qing government in Jingbian camp 1 ． 5 kilometers northeast of Songhua River, built a Bayantong Fort, five Angang Gun, two sides of the fort with six large and small gunpowder warehouses, ten military houses. In the same year, between Songhua River and Bayantong, the construction of the river block iron cable. The right bank platform is protected by the river. In July 26, Guangxu, the Jingbian camp Qing army and the local people have hit the Russian invaders three times, killing the Russian colonel transport officer Vinikov, and destroying and sinking the Russian ships such as the Tsabis and Odessa. The Jingbianying site is still present. Each site is generally square, with a circumference of 480-594 meters. The camp wall is built with a residual height of 1 ． 5-4 meters. The four outposts of the camp are located on the tops of the mountains in the east, south and west. The Batong Fort is made of lime mortar, and the relics are still there.

Jingbianying site is one of Yilan patriotic education bases. It is located in the Bayanhada mountains on the south bank of Songhua River in the northeast of Yilan County, 15 kilometers away from the county seat.
