Chifeng Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Wulan Butong Tourist Area Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Ulan Buh Tourism Area
Ulan Buh, also known as the Ulan Buh Tourism Area, is under the jurisdiction of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. Located in the southwestern part of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, it includes three scenic areas: the Ulan Buh Grassland, the Ulan Buh Ancient Battlefield, and the Huamugou Forest Area. It is a tourism area that integrates mountains, water, flowers, grass, forests, and historical sites. Ulan Buh has a temperate semi-arid continental monsoon climate, with a large area of primary and secondary forests, arbor and shrub species, and grassland herbaceous plants.
The Ulan Buh Tourism Area has eight scenic spots including the Ulan Buh Ancient Battlefield, Wucail Mountain, Elephant Group Mountain, Jiapigou, and others.
Situated in the transitional zone between hills and plains, it presents characteristics completely different from other grasslands. With its enchanting European-style grassland scenery, it has become a famous base for film and television location shooting. The grassland here has four distinct features:
First is the combination of forest and grassland. Here, the forest and grassland are organically combined, possessing both the elegant and gentle charm of the south and the rough and vigorous strength of the north, embodying the beauty of both southern grace and northern boldness.
Second is the vast meadows. Although not endless, one can feel the poetic sentiment of the Northern Dynasties folk song, 'The sky is like a dome, covering the wilderness. The sky is vast, the field is boundless, the wind blows the grass low and reveals the cattle and sheep,' when standing here.
Third is the 'hundred-flower meadow' landscape. In the meadow area around the film and television base, each summer, the grassland is full of life, with flowers blooming in abundance, changing the dominant flower species every ten or so days. Your visit this time might be yellow, but in ten days it could be pink, red... Each batch is dominated by a leading flower species, with other colors complementing it. Famous or not, they are diverse and colorful, weaving patches of colorful carpets on the large meadows and hillsides, forming clusters of elusive colorful clouds. The blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, and clear waters set off the noisy world of flowers, sketching out a series of vibrant and colorful European-style oil paintings.
Fourth is the birch forest landscape. The most distinctive feature is the alternating density, sparse enough to gallop horses, dense enough to block the wind. On the gentle slopes at the edge of the meadows, some areas are covered with birch trees, forming dense forests impenetrable to the wind. Venturing in, the branches and leaves block out the sun, and it's hard to tell how large the forest is. In some areas, the birch trees are sparsely scattered, with single trees, clusters of three or five, or dozens forming a group, which is a sight to behold. Coupled with the varied terrain here, there are grasslands, wetlands, canyons, and hills. In the early morning and evening, the slanting sun casts highlights on the ridges, creating a contrast of light and shadow that renders the large environment's hazy beauty, forming a series of ancient Greek oil paintings.

Ulan Buh| The autumn here is like a paradise of oil paintings, so beautiful that it moves one to tears!!
| The autumn here is like a paradise of oil paintings, so beautiful that it moves one to tears!! Ulan Buh| The green is not the exclusive calling card of the grasslands, the autumn grasslands are even more colorful, especially the autumn of the Ulan Buh grassland, filled with that alluring magic,
Ulan Buh is located at the southernmost tip of Keshiketeng Banner in Inner Mongolia, separated from Hebei's Saihanba by a boundary river,
combining grassland, lakes, wetlands, and forest landscapes into one. Ulan Buh was once a royal hunting ground, and anything that caught the royal eye was definitely of the finest quality, due to its location at the intersection of hills and plains,
it presents a completely different natural feature from other grasslands. Come autumn, this place transforms into a paradise of oil paintings,
outshining other autumn scenes in the country with overwhelming momentum, becoming a colorful and dreamy world,
/
During autumn, the temperature difference between day and night is significant, you might still be wearing short sleeves during the day, but at night you need to prepare a light down jacket to avoid catching a cold. The autumn season is quite dry, and the ultraviolet rays are strong, so sun protection is very important

Beijing Vicinity | It's not that Harbin is unaffordable, but Bashang offers better value for money
☀️A little potato from the south, I mustered up the courage to visit the frigid land of Bashang.
📸Bashang: A grassland in Inner Mongolia accessible from Beijing, where the emperor used to hunt in the autumn during the Qing dynasty. In spring, Bashang is covered with flowers, in summer the water and grass are lush with herds of cattle and sheep, in autumn the forests are a riot of color, and in winter the ground is blanketed with snow.
🗺️【Route】
Joined a car tour group, gathering in Beijing
Day1️⃣ Beijing — Weichang County — Saihanba Forest Park — Ulan Butong
Day2️⃣ Ulan Butong — Tongfeng Gully (river fog, rime ice) — Nanjing — Hamaba (village photography, light and shadow) — Baijiawopu (sunset) — Ulan Butong
Day3️⃣ Ulan Butong — Xiaohe Head (snow buns, rime ice) — Weichang County — Beijing
☀️【Temperature】
Around minus 10 to minus 20 degrees Celsius
🧷【Gear】
✅Top: I wore a quick-dry shirt, fleece, Uniqlo light down jacket, thick down jacket (yes, 2 down jackets)
✅Bottom: Thermal leggings, 2 pairs of fleece-lined sweatpants (yes, 3 pairs of pants)
✅Shoes: Outdoor shoes + heated insoles + very thick socks, plus snow gaiters, because the snow is deep, unless your snow boots are very tall, it's recommended to add snow gaiters to prevent snow from falling into the shoes, which can get wet
✅Gloves: Cotton gloves
✅Hat: Down jacket's hood
✅Scarf: Woolen scarf
➡️With this set, only my hands were cold, they were freezing while taking photos
Toes were a bit cold too, need to move around more
All the gear I wore, I didn't buy specially, they are just clothes I normally wear in Shanghai, just layered up...
✏️【Impressions】
✔️In the extreme cold weather, it's okay if there's sunshine, just wear more clothes, it's just the exposed parts that are miserable.
If you wear a mask, it will collect moisture, and glasses will frost up, without a mask it's just cold...
✔️We had an off-road vehicle all the way, so we could only stand being outside for at most half an hour before we had to roll back into the car to warm up.
✔️Regarding the scenery, personally, I think too much of it can lead to aesthetic fatigue, I feel 2-3 days is about right...
✔️Bashang in winter is really sparsely populated, there are only a few restaurants, hotels, and shops open, the good thing is it's quiet with few people, the downside is it's too quiet......

Ulan Butung Grasslands Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
I lament the fleeting nature of my life and envy the endless beauty of the autumn colors in the Ulan Buh grasslands
In the fairyland of autumn, I drive slowly along the road of the Ulan Buh grasslands in Keshiketeng Banner. This vast grassland, like a green tapestry, covers the entire earth. The sunlight filters through the clouds and sprinkles on the grass, and the blades sway in the breeze as if beckoning to me.
My destination is this beautiful secret realm, and each visit brings me new sensations. This autumn, I have decided to drive myself to deeply experience the magical charm of the grasslands.
In the morning, as I drive through the bumpy dirt roads and enter the grasslands, a fresh scent of grass greets me. I stop the car, bathe in the sunlight, and gaze at the scenery before me, as if entering a fairy-tale world.
The grasslands here are not a monotonous green; in autumn, they undergo a gorgeous transformation. Golden wildflowers are scattered everywhere, adorning the green grass, creating a scene like a moving oil painting. I walk through the seas of flowers, deeply inhaling the fragrance that nature exudes.
I continue to drive, occasionally encountering herds of cattle grazing leisurely on the grasslands. They sometimes bow their heads to nibble, sometimes play and jump with each other, as if showing their love for this land. I can't help but think that the grasslands are the home of these animals; they coexist harmoniously with nature, forming part of this beautiful scenery.
When the sun sets, I choose an ideal spot to stop the car. The endless sky in the distance is dyed red by the afterglow, brilliant as fire. At dusk, the grasslands are enveloped in an orange halo, as if the earth has been draped in a beautiful garment. I am intoxicated by the magnificent scenery, feeling the power of nature.
As night falls, the starry sky's dazzling pearls adorn the black curtain. I walk on the grasslands, feeling the breeze gently brushing my face. The grass and the stars, illuminated by the moonlight, form a poetic and continuous fairyland. I sit quietly on the lawn, looking up at the stars, seeking inspiration in this tranquility.
When leaving the Ulan Buh grasslands, I resolve to return to this beautiful secret realm, to feel the charm of nature once more. The autumn fairyland of the Ulan Buh grasslands in Keshiketeng Banner has allowed me to appreciate the endless charm of the grasslands. It has provided me with endless creative inspiration and has deeply moved me by the power of nature.
JIMMY VARGAS
Having grasped the vastness of the universe, I still cherish the greenery of plants and trees
The autumn grasslands, where all things merge into distant mountains like dark green eyebrows, and heaven and earth blend into one hue. The sky is as blue as a gemstone, clouds as white as cotton, and the sunlight sprinkles on the earth, warm and pleasant. This season is the most beautiful moment of the Ulan Butong Grassland in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng.
The car steadily enters the grassland, and the wind from the window brings a cool breeze, with the primitive scent and the vast beauty rushing towards me. A sense of expectation and excitement arises in my heart, as if I am in a fairy tale world.
Along the way, herds of cattle and sheep leisurely graze on the green grass, as if dancing to a wonderful rhythm. At the edge of the grassland, patches of cosmos flowers bloom into a colorful sea of flowers, like a splendid and colorful painting. In the distance, horses gallop, and flocks of wild birds soar in the sky, forming a beautiful natural picture.
Following the navigation, I drive forward. Suddenly, a lake appears before my eyes. The lake water is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the sky and distant mountains, stunningly beautiful. I get out of the car, step onto the gentle slope by the lake, and crush a small piece of green plant in my hand, immediately releasing a fresh grassy fragrance. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, as if I can smell the breath of nature.
Continuing to drive, I arrive at a famous campsite. This is a gathering place for tourists, with cozy tents, delicious roasted whole lamb, and a blazing bonfire. As night falls, the stars are brilliant, as if covering the entire sky. I sit by the bonfire, listening to the local herders playing the Morin Khuur, feeling peaceful and content.
The next day, I come to the most famous attraction of Keshiketeng Banner—Chifeng. Here is a magnificent and splendid palace, with golden walls reflecting the sunlight, dazzling to behold. I slowly ascend the steps, and the viewing platform at the top allows me to see the entire beauty of Chifeng. Surrounded by mountains and shrouded in clouds, it's like being in a fairyland.
Leaving Chifeng, I drive towards the end of the Ulan Butong Grassland. This is the end of the grassland and the northernmost place in Inner Mongolia. Standing here, I can feel the vastness and infinite power of nature. The grassland here seems to have no boundaries, connected to the sky and merged with the earth.
The autumn journey through the Ulan Butong Grassland has allowed me to experience the unique charm of natural beauty. The vast grassland, the freely running cattle and sheep, and the dancing flowers have all become unique memories deep in my heart. I promise myself that whenever the hustle and bustle of the city overwhelms me, I will return here to find inner peace and freedom.

Chifeng City (at the border with Xilingol League) Keshiketeng World Geopark's Stone Array Park.

Regarding Inner Mongolia, is your mind just the endless grassland? When you come to Chifeng and come to the Keshiketeng Stone Array, you will find that nature is so magical. On the vast land, the peaks of the peaks rise up and each has its own demeanor. Keshiketeng Stone Array, formerly known as Ashatu Stone Forest, is located 380 kilometers northwest of Chifeng City. It is located on the Beida Mountain in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City. It is one of the eight scenic spots in the Keshiketeng World Geological Park. Ashama is Mongolian, translated into "severe mountain peaks". The Kashkent Stone Formation is a unique granite landscape in the world, known as the world geological wonder. The stone lining is backed by an innocent birch grove. It is awesome, and it looks like a pagoda, or a poultry beast, such as a poultry beast. It is as vivid as it is, and it makes people scream.
Sky..
The autumn is quiet, the scenery still exists, just a turn, everything has failed. This is the fall of Chifeng, a turn, a fall of the wind, the leaves fall back to the roots. I don't know how many people like autumn, and I don't know how many people use poetic and artistic words to describe the charm and sense of autumn, late autumn, drizzle, fallen leaves, wind, frost. Chifeng is very sparsely populated. It may take a few hours to drive from one scenic spot to another. It takes a long drive. Fortunately, there are endless autumn colors outside the window. Straight asphalt road, our vehicles constantly travel through the forests and grasslands, and cycle back and forth, to the most unique scenic spot in Chifeng - the Keshiketeng Stone Array.

Yulong Sand Lake Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Inner Mongolia Chifeng|Leave love in Yulong Sand Lake
|Leave love in Yulong Sand Lake. Inner Mongolia Chifeng|Leave love in Yulong Sand Lake
The desert scenery in Inner Mongolia is really beautiful! Yulong Sand Lake is also really beautiful, it is recommended to take a tour on the mirror water train to see the scenery there, the driver will let everyone get off to take pictures~ Enough for ordinary tourists to take pictures!
Then the main play desert line project is okay! It is recommended to climb up if you can~ The scenery above is really different.
/Desert off-road is really too cool and exciting, the driver is so fun. The couple who took the car with me was a father and son. The child and I hit it off with my sister and sister. The two people screamed and laughed. The child's father said that this trip was double happiness (then I and my sister also took a photo with the child hahaha friends on the journey do not divide the age
/Camels are only managed up and not down... So you can rent a sandboard to slide down, or you can walk down.
When riding a camel, I feel a bit sorry for the camel. I thought of the question of whether the life set by my friends before was happy. But think about it, we are not "camels"~
/That sandboard... um, I don't want to say that it's really hard to climb up and slide down in five seconds. The sand has a section of kneeling and crawling on all fours. My sister said what kind of ancestral behavior I am haha but don't say it except for the hot hand. It's really better to walk (we slide once and lie on the board for half an hour..
*Those who don't have physical strength can not consider this project, because there is no special sand sliding channel, all are carrying the board by themselves, the wind blows the board and pulls you to run
I brought my own food, so I don't know much about the dining situation inside.
I really like Chifeng whether it's the scenery or the people. It feels so good
It's still worth going to play

Chifeng Yulong Sand Lake Travel Guide, pure dry goods!!!
During the National Day holiday, my family and I embarked on an exploration trip to Chifeng Yulong Sand Lake. Although we encountered some difficulties during the journey, the experience and beautiful memories gained are definitely worth sharing.
1. Weather
For this trip, I chose a windy day to go, although the scenery was picturesque, the invasion of sand made me miserable. Despite my best efforts to protect myself, sand still got into my mouth and ears. In addition, because of the strong wind, I caught a cold and had a fever when I came back, and even had to be on a drip for two days. So, I want to remind everyone to pay close attention to the weather forecast and try to choose a sunny and windless day to go.
2. Itinerary
We were on a self-driving tour, and the journey was relatively flat. But be aware that near the destination, you will first pass through a place called Burj Dun, where there are many camel and motorcycle rental services, but it is not Yulong Sand Lake. If you want to go to Yulong Sand Lake, you must keep going.
3. Tickets and Projects
The ticket price for Yulong Sand Lake is 80 yuan/person, but each project is charged separately. The price for camel riding is 120 yuan/person, although the camel will take you to the high point of the desert, but after arriving, it will leave you to play on your own, and then the camel will return to the starting point. If you want to experience desert off-roading, there are many jeeps at the foot of the mountain, but because no one was playing, we didn't try. In addition, the price of the all-inclusive ticket at the entrance varies from 200-400 yuan, and basically no one buys it.
4. Photo Tips and Clothing Suggestions
Although the weather has turned cooler during the National Day holiday, I still suggest everyone to bring a sweater and jacket to keep warm. In the desert, red is a very eye-catching color, you can match some eye-catching accessories, such as sun hats, sunglasses, etc. When taking pictures, try to enlarge your movements and stretch your body, so you will look more natural in the photos.
In summary, Chifeng Yulong Sand Lake is a very worthwhile place to visit. As long as you make adequate preparations and plan your itinerary reasonably, I believe you will have a pleasant travel experience.
RYAN WILSON
The western edge of the Kerqin Sandy Land in Wudan Town, Wengniute Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has a national AAAA-level eco-tourism scenic spot known as the most beautiful desert sand, Yulong Shahu, magical not only This is the lake water in the desert, and in 1971, a Neolithic Hongshan cultural marker "Chinese First Dragon" was also unearthed here, and is now collected by the National Museum, "Yulong Shahu It is also named after this. The beautiful lakes in the sand are covered with the vast eight hundred miles. There are more than ten sand islands in the lake, and the ancient sands, rocks, peaks, wetlands and grasslands inlaid among them form a strange sand lake landscape. Here, the vegetation is lush, the sand is white and the water is blue, the sky is a clean blue that has never changed, and the sand lake is integrated, accompanied by passion and novelty. It can be said that the sightseeing tour in the Yulong Shahu Scenic Area just meets the desire of people to play both sand and lake. Here the winter lake has formed thick ice, and the strange rocks on the lake are round and smooth, and some are sharp. It has also become famous as a shooting place for "The Future will be indefinite" and "The Growth of Everything".
In addition to this, it is very recommended that the container net red hotel and sand off-road project here are very good.

Linkong Holiday Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Promise me! When you come to Inner Mongolia, don't miss the treasure city of Ulanhot!
Promise me! Don't miss the treasure city of Ulanhot when you come to Inner Mongolia, and enjoy the double happiness of Mongolian cuisine and the history of the Xing'an League.
Driving from Beijing to the northern border of the country, I'm used to visiting the museum of a strange place first to learn about its history and stories from ancient times to the present, so I made a special arrangement to visit the Xing'an League Museum in Ulanhot.
Make an appointment in advance, enter before 16:00, the museum is not big, only two floors.
One exhibition hall displays the political changes from the Stone Age to the present, as well as ethnic minority costumes and bronzes, and I saw three treasures of the museum (︶∞).
Here comes the highlight! I stumbled upon a treasure restaurant in Ulanhot, the owner must be a collector, the whole shop is filled with Mongolian handicrafts, I saw several beautiful Morin khuur (horsehead fiddles) 0O ethnic accessories, handmade crafts...
While chatting with the owner, he said that many of the items in the Xing'an League Museum were also donated by him, no wonder some of the exhibits I saw were marked as collected from Ulanhot City. The restaurant is called a treasure because it's not only beautiful but also delicious and cheap. We ordered hand-grabbed meat, blood sausage, fried eggs with Allium mongolicum, stuffed stomach meat... The average cost per person is just over 60, which is definitely not tourist area pricing. It's cheap and tasty.
If you're traveling in Inner Mongolia and pass by here, promise me you'll check it out, and I wish everyone a happy holiday~

Chifeng Yulong Shuihui| A great bathhouse to take your kids to!!
| A great bathhouse to take your kids to!!
I love taking big baths, feel refreshed after washing. Today I went to the old brand bathhouse Yulong Shuihui, which is very large, with a total of 5 floors including the underground. Mostly wooden structures, many zones, you can go for a stroll, very suitable for taking kids to play, there is a special water play area, remember to bring swimsuits
The temperature in the sweat-steaming room is not high, I like sweat steaming, this place is a bit disappointing, the highest temperature is less than 40 degrees
There is also a cream glue DIY area and coloring dolls, the price is also okay, those interested can go play. There is accommodation and overnight in the hall, if you are from the south, I highly recommend you to stay overnight in the bath center, it saves money haha
They also have a famous donkey meat bun, you can try it. The female bathing area has their unique one-on-one bucket bath, which is very suitable for those who want privacy. I personally feel that the changing area is a bit dark, the lighting is not bright, be careful when taking the elderly!!

: 79 yuan/person (group purchase is more cost-effective, no additional consumption)

Ulan Buh
Ulan Buh heard that the forest sea and snowfield can cure everything
Winter has come, the north has entered a season not suitable for outdoor activities, and I who have not been out for a long time have fallen into the panic of stopping and yellowing
Fortunately, there are snow scenes to watch in the winter in the north. All the way to the north, in Ulan Buh at minus 30 degrees Celsius, there are forest sea and snowfields, icicles, ice flowers, sundogs and other sights that can only be seen in extremely cold weather
Because the journey is long and the daylight time in winter is short, we set off on Friday and stayed overnight in Chengde on the zero day
On the first day after entering the Saihanba Linli District, the sky completely dimmed, countless ice crystals and snowflakes covered the sky, we rarely walked into such a forest sea and snowfield, everyone was very excited
There are a lot fewer tourists in winter, but it's not too few. It's so cold at this temperature, and there are still cars passing by this icy road every few minutes
Close to the Ulan Buh scenic area, the distant landscape immediately changed from a snow forest to a snowfield. The trees on the grassland have a cute tune because they resemble broccoli in shape
What's even more rare is that sharp-eyed Brother Long found a small animal hundreds of meters away. I zoomed in with a telephoto lens and found out that it was a fox. This is the first time most of us have seen a wild fox
The snow is 20-30cm deep, which is not exaggerated for students from the Northeast. For friends from the South, it can be said to be an eye-opener
When we were playing in the snow, we happened to meet local herders who came to ride snowmobiles. They said they could take us for a free ride. We had a lot of people and took several rounds. In the end, we politely gave money. Everyone is happy to be truly happy
For this kind of "bitter cold place", we expected all kinds of hardships, but we didn't expect the hotel conditions to be quite good, and the food was surprisingly delicious
In recent years, we can still feel that the quality of tourism services in various places has improved
Early the next morning, when I opened the curtain, there were ice flowers frozen on the window glass, and there was a rainbow in the distance
But the rainbow should be away from the sun, along the sunlight, common sense tells me this
It's not a rainbow!!!
I went downstairs and found that the view was more open, it was a sundog
We swim in the Ulan Buh scenic area, often have the illusion of packing this scenic area, because there are almost no people. Along the gentle curves of the mountains and rivers
