Yi October Sunli Cultural Park is located on Sunli Avenue in the northern suburb of Chuxiong City, about 3 kilometers away from the city center. It is the only Chinese Yi cultural park in China. The park is marked by the October Sun Calendar Sculpture Square, a cultural treasure of the Yi nationality, which integrates ethnic customs display and artistic exchanges. The main attractions of the Yi October Sun Calendar Cultural Park include the October Sun Calendar Sculpture Altar, Torch Square, Gourd Sea, Gourd Promenade, National Sports Arena and so on. There are Yi folk customs and song and dance performances such as welcoming guests and weddings in the park every day.
