lixinyingOne of Norway's five great fjords, near southern Norway. We had bad weather when we got here and it was raining all the time. It was foggy. It took almost two hours to take the boat from Stavanger and then the bus. The landmark was the trail stone. It is said that Tomgo's spy six was shot here. It took five hours to get back and forth, well worth it, no tickets.
乖小咪Hardangerfjord and the famous Geirangerfjord are known as one of the three major fjords in Norway. There are also magnificent sea canyons. The sea water in the fjord is very calm, like a huge mirror on a clear day, reflecting the sky and canyons, beautifully.
139***60Several piers in Bergen are very distinctive. There are many sculptures related to the sea in Bryggen Pier. The red houses on both sides of the pier look very old. However, what attracts me most is the fish market. Feast on all kinds of seafood!
D31***85This is an Old Bergen Museum. The live drama shows the life of people in the past. Also there were plenty of houses you can visit. It worths spending half day or more in it and experience the life in the past.
Surrounded by seven hills and seven fjords, Bergen is a beguiling city. During the early Middle Ages, it was an important seaport and a member of the Hanseatic League, as well as Norway's capital – a heritage that can still be glimpsed in the beautifully preserved wooden buildings of Bryggen, now protected as a Unesco World Heritage site. Chocolate-box, clapperboard houses creep up the hillsides, ferries flit around the fjords, and a cluster of excellent art museums provide a welcome detour, and not only in case Bergen's notoriously fickle weather sets in. Meanwhile, a large student population ensures the city has a buzzy bar scene and nightlife, and easy access to nature means you're minutes away from complete tranquillity.

Bergen, Hordaland and the western fjords cover a large area on and near the western coast of Norway, combining the harbor city of Bergen, the fantastic scenery of the iconic Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord, along with the verdant Flåm Valley and its famous Flåm Railway.
From seascapes to vast valleys, hairpin bend roads sweeping down to mirror still waters, dense woods to open plains - the region offers a diverse wealth of natural and cultural attractions to suit the interests of everyone.
Anyone planning a visit to Bergen needs to come prepared for rain, for the city averages 260 days a year of the wet stuff. But when the sun shines, this pretty harbor city offers history, superb shopping, some excellent hiking and panoramic views from its choice at the top of the Fløibanen funicular and the Mount Ulriken cable car. Even if the sun gods don't smile, the city has plenty of charm in its coffee shops, Scandi designer stores, organic bakeries and the area around the landscaped lake at Lille Lungegårdsvannet with its five art galleries.
A visit to this region wouldn't be complete without venturing East towards the Flåmsdal valley. Here you will find abundant walks and more challenging hikes as well as the famously beautiful Flåm Railway train which is lauded as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. Expect incredible scenery, roaring waterfalls, 20 tunnels and sweeping views to the fjords and mountain tops; once at Myrdal Station you can enjoy delicious homemade pancakes before the journey back!.

Went in the evening hoping to catch the sunset at the top of the mountain, upon arrival was surprised by the crowd. Managed to purchase the ticket online swiftly..
Lovely view of Bergen while we hiked ard the mountain.
Before heading down we grabed the sausage bun (it's really good 😄😄) while enjoying the evening sun and breeze.

Heading back to city, we love walking between the narrow alleys, streets and houses. Enjoy exploring, we even chanced upon a hidden local stall that sell fresh ingredients where we did our grocery shopping during our stay there 😁
