Zhangzhou|Fujian Tulou|Self-driving Nanny Guide
|Fujian Tulou|Self-driving Nanny Guide.
Transportation: It is recommended to drive by yourself, the attractions are a bit far apart, public transportation is inconvenient, the several points of interest in Tianluokeng are on the mountain and at the foot of the mountain, it is not easy to take a taxi, and it will be very tiring if you walk all the way.
Route suggestion:
Navigate from Xiamen to "Tianluokeng Tulou Upper Viewing Platform", the whole journey takes about 2 and a half hours.
First stop: Upper viewing platform, you can see the "four dishes and one soup" panorama
Note: Be sure to follow the navigation, there are ticket checkers at the entrance of the mountain, the ticket is 90 yuan/person, then all the way up the mountain, 13 kilometers of mountain road, but two-way lanes, the road condition is very good, there is no pressure to drive up by car, don't worry.
Be sure to navigate to the "viewing platform" ticket check point and park, there are parking spaces on the side of the road, it is easy to park.
(There will be parking lot instructions when you are close to the destination, don't stop)
This attraction can be taken out after taking a photo, from the upper viewing platform, you can go down the stairs to Tianluo Village, local residents will pull tourists to visit the earth building, not recommended!
Second stop: Lower viewing platform, you can take pictures of terraces and the side of the earth building
Note: It takes about 5 minutes to drive from the upper viewing platform to the lower viewing platform, don't drive past, there is no parking space at the lower viewing platform, you can park on the side of the road
Third stop: Yuchang Building, also called East Leaning West Building
After watching the lower viewing platform, continue to go downhill along the mountain road, navigate to "Yuchang Building", there is a parking lot.
Yuchang Building has a history of more than 700 years and is the oldest earth building in Tianluokeng. If you want to understand, you can pay 20 yuan for local villagers to explain.
Yuchang Building is also the most out of the several earth buildings, you can take the same style as Big Fish Begonia.
Fourth stop: Tashan Village, about 15 minutes by car, I personally do not recommend going, there is a small river and some homestays and places to eat on both sides, if you need to stay and eat, you can go.
Fifth stop: Yunshuiyao Ancient Town
Yunshuiyao is more commercial than Tianluokeng, and the night view is also OK, so it is recommended to go to Tianluokeng first, and then go to Yunshuiyao.
I contacted the owner of the homestay in advance, and the car was parked in the parking lot closest to the homestay, free of charge.
If you don't stay, the entrance near Heguilou is the main entrance of the scenic spot, and the tourist center and parking lot are here.
Main attractions of Yunshuiyao: Huaiyuan Building and Heguilou, 5-10 yuan/person for climbing the building, it is recommended to climb Huaiyuan Building, which is more out of the picture.
The whole ancient town is mainly along the river, so it's definitely right to stroll along the river.
The area where the big banyan tree and the big water wheel are located is also the commercial center of the entire Yunshuiyao scenic area
Sixth stop: Huaiyuan Building, a double-ring circular earth building.
Seventh stop: Heguilou, Heguilou is the tallest square building in all Fujian earth buildings, built on a 3000 square meter swamp.
Yunshuiyao small tips:
The climate is relatively humid at night, it is recommended to wear more at night The roads in the scenic area are all cobblestones, don't wear high heels
Built in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 700 years and is the oldest and largest round building. It is 5 floors high, 54 rooms per floor, a total of 270 rooms, covering an area of 2,289 square meters, construction area of 6358.2 square meters, civil structure, corridor-style round building; the first floor wall thickness 1.8 meters, reduced by 10 cm from the upper floor. The interior walls of the building are built with fir wood. Sitting west facing east, sitting on the lotus point for Guanyin.
The oldest large earth building in Nanjing is very majestic in appearance and there are people living inside. However, the location is awkward. A separate building stands in the village, unlike the Tianluokeng Scenic Area and the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area.
Entering the earth building, it is true that all the pillars of the corridors above the second floor have a certain angle tilt, especially the third and fourth floors are more obvious, and the tilt direction of the two columns is the opposite.
Yuchang Building (also known as Dongdaxiwei Building), built in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty (about 1368), is said to be the oldest and largest round building. 5 floors high, 54 floors, a total of 270 rooms, covering an area of 2,289 square meters, construction area 6358.2 square meters, in the middle of Guanyin Temple. The ground is paved with uneven stone roads, and it is as if you heard it tell your own history. From the beginning of the door, all the way is invited to enter the home to see the well. On the first floor, every household has a small well. I have not walked in. The business atmosphere is too strong and I feel a little uncomfortable. The only regret is that because the Tulou is old, it is impossible to go upstairs to explore the real face. Some regrets, you can only turn around and see. The temple in the middle is very incense, and there is a small sales department next to it. From the periphery to enjoy Yuchang Building, the shape is huge, the stream in front of the door, the stone bridge and the earth building echo, like seeing children playing in the water, playing.
Nanjing Yuchang Building is the oldest and largest circular earth building, built in 1368, the end of Yuan and early Ming Dynasty. At that time, it was jointly funded by the five surnames, and now it is a resident of Liu. The earth building is backed by the mountain, and there is a flowing stream in front of the door. The scenery is unique. When I walked in, I was shocked. I stood in the middle of the patio. I had to look up and turn around to see the earth building. It has five floors, 54 rooms on each floor, a total of 270 rooms, which looks dense. There is a single-story ancestor hall in the middle of the patio. The top of the earth building is full of red lanterns, and the atmosphere is magnificent. The residents on the first floor set up stalls to sell local specialties, and the clothes are dried upstairs, full of life. I discussed with the residents to take pictures upstairs and walked around the building. The whole earth building has a panoramic view, and I can't help but be surprised! Look closely at the earth building left and right, crumbling, it seems easy to collapse, but the 700 years since the construction, I don't know how many winds, rains and earthquakes have been experienced, it is still solid. It can be described as a great miracle in the history of architecture. The first floor of each family's house is a kitchen stove, the second floor is a granary, the elderly live on the third floor, the young people live on the fourth floor, and the coffin is stored on the fifth floor. Each stove has a well, the water depth is1.5 meters, the well water is clear, and you can fetch water with a spoon. Seven hundred years of east and west, maybe imperfect is the most perfect!
Yuchang Building is a relatively large building in the earth building, with a total of five floors. Someone will take you upstairs to take pictures for 30 yuan. The small shop downstairs is not very mature compared to Yunshuiyao. Pay attention to ⚠️: Don't buy tea in it, the same tea is 60/jin in Yunshuiyao, and shouting 200-360/jin here. I personally compared, please the masses to keep their eyes open!
