However, today's Meijiawu is not as tea-based as it is today, and the tourism industry is booming.

Located in Meijiawu Village, Premier Zhou Enlai has visited Meijiawu five times since 1957 as a point of contact to guide rural work throughout the country, to care about and guide the production and construction of Meijiawu. The point of contact is located in the center of Meijiawu Village, which is the reception room of the brigade at that time. It is a two-storey wooden house built in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. It has the style of a small courtyard in the south of the Yangtze River. It covers an area of 1500 square meters. It is now a cultural relic protection unit in Hangzhou and has been transformed into the Premier Zhou Memorial Hall.
