The court church has three large halls, containing the tomb of King Maximilian I. The church is famous for the 28 life-size bronze warrior statues on both sides of the tomb (created by the maestro Albrecht and goldsmith Vischer, symbolizing the ancestors and descendants of the Maximilian family) that were the most important works of art in the Germanic Renaissance, It is also one of the most famous art memorabilia in the state of Tyrol.
In the center of the church is a marble coffin, a bronze statue of Emperor Maximilian, surrounded by 24 marble reliefs recording the emperor's life. There are also 28 bronze statues around the sarcophagus, symbolizing the ancestors and descendants of Maximilian I.
