Beidahu Ski Resort is located in Yongji County's Wulihe Town within the Songhua Lake Nature Reserve. It is a sports and tourism center that integrates competition, training, tourism and fitness rehabilitation. The site has wonderful natural advantages including a gently sloping hillside and about 160 days per year of snow. It is part of the Changbai Mountain Range. The main peak is Nanlou Mountain, measuring more than 1,400 meters above sea level. Because the site is surrounded on three sides by mountains, there is very little wind, only gentle breezes, making it an excellent place for skiing. The snow competitions of the Eighth and Ninth Chinese National Winter Games were held here.
