What people are saying:

I always pass by this piece of architectural art everytime I go to Sakae. The Nagoya TV Tower may no longer be accepting visitors recently, but it will never stop awing people with its beauty. It looks look Paris's Eiffel Tower in one glance. It is best to see it at night when it is all lit up. Unfortunately, recently, the local government of Nagoya has stopped lighting up the tower. I don't know the reason why, but yes, they did that. The tower is located inside Hisaya Odori Park and is readily accessible via all types of public and private transportation.

    meeting point

As a landmark, it's a good meeting point, and good spot to view the city from above, so romantic when it's sunset.

Would have been a Parisian-like experience

I was hoping to have a little picnic at the nearby Hisaya Odori Park while admiring the tower. It's like watching the Eifel... But the park was entirely closed for what seem to be a massive commercial...

    Icon of Nagoya

Built in 1954, this 180m high tower was Japan's first television antenna tower. However, when analog television broadcasting was terminated in 2011, the tower's role was ended. When we visited, the t...
