When visiting Madrid, one place that is an unquestionable requirement see is the Plaza de Cibeles. It is an excellent square amidst the Paseo del Prado and the Calle Alcala and around it are the most unbelievable design cases of the Baroque and Art Nouveau styles. You could spend a day simply walking around these dazzling structures and afterward come to see the Cibeles Fountain. This white marble eighteenth century fountain Fuente de la Cibeles involves pride of place in the square with an imposing statue of Cibele the Roman Goddess of fruitfulness situated on a chariot pulled by two lions.
