You see ships go by. Fun for the first one but the next one can be hours/days so if you see one coming, it's interesting to park and watch it go by. Not much else to do.

I love St. Lambert Locks in summer when I can cycle along the southern bank of the St. Laurence, access Notre Dame basin and Parc Des Iles through the Locks which makes for a great cycling experience....
