Introduction of Toyokuni Shrine: Toyokuni Shrine was built to pay tribute to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a hero in ancient Japan. The shrine is located in Nakamura Park. The ground is the birthplace of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. On the east side of the shrine, there is a monument "The Birthplace of Toyotomi".
Toyokuni Shrine was built to commemorate a hero in ancient Japan, Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Toyotomi Hideyoshi completed the great cause of unifying Japan in the 16th century and ended the war. After the destruction of the Toyotomi family, this shrine was destroyed. The shrine was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century. Inside the temple, the ancient building "Tangmen" is preserved. "Tangmen" is a door that imitates the Chinese architectural style. It represents the colorful "Peach Mountain Culture" at that time and is now listed as a national treasure. An iron lantern (an iron lighter) is also preserved in the temple. In the "Treasure Museum" on the north side of the temple, there are exhibits including the Japanese painting "Toyokuni Matsuri Screen" made by the "Kano School", a Japanese painting genre that has become an important cultural asset of the country, and relics used by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
