It is a very pleasant experience to spend a couple of hours in this gallery. In fact, it’s not enough to visit it once (given the size of it, and it’s always free to visit!). I particularly enjoyed looking at the architecture of the newer part of this gallery (see photos). Also, the vibe is really good and perhaps it has something to do with the abundance of natural sunlight. Definitely recommended to plan a visit to this place!

As a museum fan, it is really deep in love with DC. There are many museums in the line, covering all kinds of theme content, and it can't stop at all. The National Gallery of the United States is one of the largest and most famous art galleries in the world. It was donated and built in 1937. The museum has three parts: the East Museum, the West Museum and the Sculpture Park. The West Museum mainly collects European and American art works from the 13th to the early 20th century. The East mainly displays modern art works from the 20th century. The sculpture park is super comfortable and very suitable for patting.
The National Gallery of the United States in Washington, DC is one of the largest art museums in North America. Established in 1937, the National Gallery of the United States is a privately established museum, and Andrew • Mailon (Andrew Mellon) donated a large amount of art and construction funds. The museum is divided into east and west buildings, and the newly built East Building is designed by Chinese-American Pei Xuming.
Definitely felt like a magical place, laced with elegance and fine architecture.
Here are the statues of Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael's Matrix, Van Eck's Matrix, and there are also the Angelicos, Piedro de la Francesca, Bellini, Rembrandt, Manet, Monet and other European classical art masters. Due to the schedule of the itinerary, we only stayed in the West Museum for two hours, and the East Museum had no time to enter and left with regret. During this period, I took pictures while watching and took about dozens of collections with my mobile phone. These photos are a drop in the ocean compared to tens of thousands of collections, and there are many treasures that don't even have time to see. It is highly recommended to preview the history of Western art before going, and then get a Chinese introduction to the collection after arriving at the museum, which will be very helpful for your visit.
Each collection in the National Art Museum has its deep historical background and culture, two of which are must-see paintings in the museum, one is a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, and the other is a self-portrait of van Gogh. The portrait, created at the age of 22 by Leonardo da Vinci, is one of 19 paintings currently in existence in the world, a portrait of a 16-year-old Florence woman married to her husband, who is twice the age of her husband.
It takes 3-5 hours to finish shopping. We only went shopping for 2 hours and closed the venue at 5:30 pm. The exhibition here is pleasing to the eye. If you have enough time, you can immerse yourself in such a hall of art, meet the painter one by one in order, enjoy the good works, and read a vivid history of Western art. The treasure of the town hall is Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Genevela de Bensie" (Ginevra De.benci). This is the only Leonardo painting in the United States. In Hall 6. The painting has no railings, no glass, and can be viewed closely. I marveled at the crispness of the curled hair. I just walked to the Impressionist exhibition hall and began to clear the venue and close the venue. It's a pity that Monet's "Woman with a parasol" can't get close to it. So remember, close at 5:30 in the afternoon and arrange the itinerary.
