Niufo Ancient Town is affiliated to Da'an District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province. It has a history of thousands of years. It was named Gaoshi Town in the Song Dynasty and changed its name to Niufo Town in the early Ming Dynasty. It was rated as the first batch of pilot demonstration towns of the province's "Hundred Towns Construction Action", a model town with beautiful environment in Sichuan Province, a national key town, and a national historical and cultural town. Niufo Town is rich in folk culture, such as dragon dance, dragon boat rowing, lanterns, and Sichuan opera singing. It is known as the "Hometown of Sichuan Folk Culture and Art". Niufo Town was once a famous commercial port and water wharf in southern Sichuan.
