2-Star Hotels in Okayama Prefecture, Japan

We had a wonderful stay at Petite Hotel Resort!! Right from the time we arrived (in the rain) they were immediately attentive to our needs, immediately telling me where I could park my rental car and the shortest way to get back. Despite his busy-ness, Hirohisa took the time to explain everything to us and made sure we were comfortable. The dinner served was pretty good and with generous portions. But what made it outstanding was the service and the narrations that we had about the various historic music players in the room and the stories of their history that were given by Hirohisa. He also took time to tell us about the individual dishes and with pride explained how everything was sourced from the surrounding region. The private bath was on the rooftop of the building, with a wonderful view of the night sky and surrounding hills. It was a pity that the sky was clouded over, else I'm sure we would have had a chance to do some stargazing while in the bath. This stay was definitely a highlight of this trip of ours to Japan, and we can definitely highly recommend staying at Petite in the beautiful town of Yubara. I was very satisfied with the room that had a nice night view. The air conditioning was good because it was a new hotel, but the futon was a little thin and I felt a bit chilly. (Stayed in early March)

The location is nice. Although, I got a smaller room than I saw in the pictures, I couldn’t stand up straight because the roof was so low. Also, there was a short went to another room and I had to craft a curtain because the light from the other room shined straight on my face and you can’t sleep the other way around because there’s not enough room. Furthermore, even though I left my keys for the cleaners, they just left the clean towels and sheets outside my room and told me to do it and the key was left in my door. But the showers and toilets was nice and you have privacy which is nice.

It was a quiet location near the station. The building had an older feel to it, but the guest rooms seemed to have been renovated and were clean and easy to use. There were plenty of electrical outlets, including both Type A and Type C jacks. There was a kettle and cups, but only one tea packet was provided, so I recommend bringing your own. The bathroom had good water pressure, and only rinse-in shampoo and body soap were provided. The only amenity was a toothbrush. The hairdryer was powerful. The bed was large, and the pillows and blankets were very comfortable. Everything was the bare minimum, but it was very cheap, so it was sufficient.

Location is a key priority when traveling. This place fits that description perfectly. It is located just 5 minutes from Kurashiki Station, so the location is excellent. Nearby attractions include the Kurashiki Bikan District, Ario Shopping Mall, and Mitsui Outlets. It is convenient for getting around. Since the rooms are small, I recommend this place for those with minimal luggage.

After a busy day of traveling by plane and Shinkansen, I was able to relax and refresh in this private room. It was a same-day reservation, since I needed a place to stay briefly for the night, so the self-check in was incredibly convenient and stress-free. All of the amenities were clean and easy to use. The neighborhood is quiet and a convenient distance from the station, which made it simple to check out and continue on my travels. For solo travelers or two people who want a place that feels like hom, I would highly recommend this place!

Super convenient. Near to family Mart, there's a washing machine, breads served in the morning and steam buns morning and evening, popsicle sticks and drinks throughout the day. Near the station and convenient to make it your base for visiting around Okayama outskirts on day trips

Small chill hotel, 4min from the train station, free dinner in there evening. Booked this place because I wanted to go see the nearby bridge view - the hotel had great last minute availability and a free dinner after a day of sightseeing was a welcome surprise! I went to Kurashiki next morning and the direct bus leaves from a bus stop 2min away from the hotel - super convenient.

What a fantastic start to my second trip to Japan! I had such an amazing stay here. The place is peaceful and quiet, and I slept really well. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I loved the space and the town so much that I ended up extending my stay for another night. Highly recommend!

The facility itself is a little old, but there were many nice perks, such as a welcome drink and a light curry snack service. Considering the accommodation fee, it was a good deal.
