KKennyOTMGreat location, but water supply was a real problem

Review:
Book 2 rooms at Here Hotel Johor Bahru. The location is excellent—right near Sutera Mall with lots of food options around. There are also Karaoke and escape room around the corner. Super convenient for a short trip and Love the nostalgic shophouses vibes!!!
However, the water supply was a major issue. The flow was weak and inconsistent, which made showering frustrating. For a hotel room, I expected basic amenities to work properly. Room was otherwise decent and clean, but the water problem really affected the stay.
Good for location, but need to manage expectation. But for its price, it is valued for money.
HhhmmmRoom is not big, not much space to put your stuff on the toilet counter. Also no door at the shower area so water will spray out, making the floor wet.
There's a window in the room but it's facing the reception so basically can't lift up the blinds. And also as the room is near the lift and reception, walls quite thin so it's quite noisy.
Location is quite good as there's a lot of food options aroun

CCaramelatteaHereHotel Dormitory JB: Affordable & Convenient Stay
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly dormitory in Johor Bahru, HereHotel Dormitory is a great option. Located in Skudai, it’s near Paradigm Mall JB, making it convenient for shopping and dining.
The dormitory is clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and good air-conditioning. The WiFi is reliable, and the common areas are kept tidy. Despite being a shared space, it’s quiet and suitable for rest after a long day.
The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process. For the price, HereHotel Dormitory offers great value for solo travelers and backpackers. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a simple, no-frills, and comfortable stay in Johor Bahru.
GGuest UserThe Deluxe King room is large and comfortable and more space than the standard room. It also has a large toilet/shower. There is no bin the toilet, had to use the one bin in the bedroom. There are some amenities such as toothbrushes and soap but hidden in a small black tray in the corner of the long table below the TV, under the mineral bottles. If room is not bright because the curtains are not fully drawn, you would miss it which happened to my group. We booked 4 rooms and none of us knew there were toothbrushes provided, some of us went out to buy. One of us only discovered the existence of the tray the next day! Also, there are 2 TV controls and no instructions on the back of the controls nor in the room on how to operate the controls; one is for switching tv on/off only and one for controlling channels/sound. Had to approach the counter staff who then came into the room to explain. It would be much more pleasant experience if the counter staff just give a mention about where these things or how to work them at the time we were checking-in, and Before we have to ask. On the Sat night, there was some disco music playing from a distance away where the sound is not audible but the base beat-by-beat vibrations could be felt in the air even though all the windows were shut and locked down, and this went on the WHOLE night and gave me a poor sleep. I was surprised why this happened as I chose this hotel because many reviews from guests say the Milano hotel has good sound-proof rooms. I later discovered gaps in my windows even when they are shut and the gaps are not filled-up/sealed in room 208! Thankfully, the horrible music did not play on the Sunday night. I could put up with the other inconveniences which are minor, but if there were to be sound disturbances throughout the night, having the gaps in the windows was disappointing. Positive side, I like the availability of water to top up our tumbler at the front office area, besides the 2 bottles of mineral water in the room.
GGuest UserOverall, everything was lovely and comfortable. For solo travelers like me, it's definitely worth it, especially having a private bathroom instead of a shared one. The only minor issue was when I checked in; the floor was a bit sticky, perhaps not mopped thoroughly.
AAnonymous UserH3 hotel is a budget hotel in Yong Peng. The accommodation is comfortable, cleanliness acceptable.
⭕ car parking space provided.
❌ no electric kettle, no lift(quite a problem if the room is on the higher floor).

I recently stayed at Hako Hotel (Taman Universiti) in Skudai and had a pleasant experience overall. The standout feature is definitely the bed; it was exceptionally comfy, providing a great night's sleep after a long day of traveling. The room layout is modern and efficient, making the most of the space.
Regarding the facilities, I really appreciated the water dispenser provided in the lobby, which is a convenient and eco-friendly touch for refilling bottles. Parking was also completely stress-free, as there are ample parking lots available right around the building. My only minor critique would be the toilet cleanliness, which I found to be average—it wasn’t dirty, but it could definitely benefit from a more thorough deep clean to match the high standard of the bedroom. Overall, it is a great, value-for-money choice for a short stay in Skudai!
AAnonymous UserWent with 4 kids. House big enough. 3 bedrooms.
Master room was big and spacious. With a floor mattress. a king size bed and attached toilet.
2 common bedrooms. 1 room with a king/queen size bed and single size bed. The other room with 1 king/queen size bed.
Living room has a sofa bed. Possible for 1 pax to sleep comfortably.
Toilet looks old. And master bedroom toilet has an odour. Quite bad. No complains about sound. But heard one or two loud door slams only which i thought is okay because it happens at home as well. The wind, the kids, accidentally. Neighbours seems good. No noise from them and don't even bump into any. But from each room cannot hear each other.
Morning around 530am will hear the morning prayers from one of the common bedroom that has 2 beds. The other rooms didnt hear it or perhaps deep asleep. Haha. And another prayer session around 430pm afternoon. Last about 30min. If very tired should be able to fall back to zzz again. My kids did.
Towel has a smell. But we don't use as we use to bringing our own towels.
I like that there is security counter but not to deposit your luggage prior check in. Anything just ask them and check in is very smooth. Instructions from owner was very clear and direct. Less than 5 min to check in. Early check in allowed at a charge if there's no guest prior.
Very nice owners. Reply via whatsapp. And they provided small water bottles and coffee sachets. Quite surprise they do as most, doesn't provides. And a few trash bags .. good!
Overall the stay was ok as we only sleep there. No other activities.

Good
YYJ__Perfect for a short stay near by JB Sentral. No problem: Beds are clean, A/C working, with water dispenser. Only downside was the people staying there: snoring like thunder, watching videos loudly, slamming the doors loudly.
