I only speak English and the family were so patient in using translation apps. They were very kind in picking me up from the bus station (arranged by previous hotel) , had a fabulous hot shower and got a delicious dinner. Up early and with a lift to the caves had a lovely quiet visit. So kind, very much appreciated. Only slight difficulty for me was the firm bed, but I was able to make it work using a spare quilt as padding. Would stay again.

After visiting Shapotou, I was passing through Jingtai County on my way back when I stumbled upon this hidden gem. First, the setting: It's beautiful, right on the road. Parking is also convenient. She greeted us warmly upon arrival, and a helpful man even brought us to our tent. It was a bit chilly on the night of May 2nd, and with a child, the man even helped with adding a blanket. I can't praise the woman enough. I missed breakfast in the morning (yes, they even included breakfast), and she graciously took me to the staff cafeteria to heat up my food in the microwave, boil water, and borrow a kettle. This May Day trip, I experienced the crowds of Shapotou and the warm hospitality of the snow base. It was a truly wonderful experience. When the weather gets warmer in July and August, I plan to organize a group to continue playing here. Next time, I plan to experience the RV camp and villa camp. By the way, this place also supports roasted whole lamb, which is great. I strongly recommend all the big guys who travel by car to check in here.
