Tokyu Stay Hakata

1. Location: Quite close to the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station and right next to the railway line. A new branch of Menya Kanetora has opened just across the street with practically no wait time (lol), and it's within walking distance of two popular bakery-cafes. Lower-floor rooms might hear passing trains, but the hotel provides earplugs. 2. Cleanliness: Very clean. The room is equipped with a private washer-dryer, a microwave, and a refrigerator, making it easy to heat up convenience store bentos and frozen meals so you can dine in. The ReFa hair dryer in the bathroom is amazing and a total must-buy recommendation, and the bathtub is quite spacious. 3. Service: Pajamas and various amenities are provided. Showing your room card gets you a free daily drink at the bar. Wine glasses and an ice bucket are available in the room, and there's an ice machine on the first floor.

The hotel has a very youthful vibe, with great decor and service. Compared to other hotels, the room is quite spacious, and the bathroom is also roomy. The toiletries are from ReFa and POLA, which made for a wonderful experience. The front desk staff speak good English, making communication smooth. There's a small bar where checked-in guests can enjoy a complimentary drink from afternoon till evening (I don't drink alcohol, so I didn't try it). The downside is ⚠️ that it's too close to the JR train line. You can clearly hear the trains passing by in the morning, so light sleepers should think twice before booking.
