Beishouling Ruins Exhibition Hall

The Beishouling Site Exhibition Hall is located in Jintai District and is built on the Beishouling Site. The Beishouling site is located on the platform on the west bank of the Jinling River. It is a well-preserved Yangshao cultural village site with rich connotations. It has a history of more than 7,150 years. The site is 300 meters long from north to south and 200 meters wide from east to west, and its center is in Longquan Middle School, Jintai District. There are houses, tombs, pottery, stone tools, etc., including 451 tombs. The cultural layer of the site is more than 4 meters thick, divided into early, middle and late stages, and Beishouling type cultural remains earlier than the Banpo type were discovered. The exhibition hall is divided into two courtyards, north and south, with a total construction area of 3,000 square meters. The north courtyard is a well-preserved house site, and the south courtyard is a burial site with 37 skeletons of ancestors preserved, and a cultural relic exhibition room is built. There are more than 300 collections on display in the museum, mainly pottery, stone tools and bone tools from the Yangshao Culture period unearthed from the Beishouling site.
