Xiao Putuo is the most pocket-sized small Putuo in Yunnan, only 200 meters in circumference, more than 20 meters from the shore, and the total area is about 100 square meters. The attic on the island was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is a two-story hiatus-style built by local fishermen. It is used to worship Guanyin, also known as Guanyin Pavilion. Also because the island shape and the pavilion are quite like the legend of China's mythical South China Sea Putuo Mountain, so called small Putuo. Little Putuo is an indispensable part of the Cangshan Erhai painting scroll. He is one of the eight ancient scenery of Erhai Lake, and it is also a must-check attraction to Erhai Lake. It is 12 meters above the sea. It stands on the clear day of Erhai Lake and is backed by the Cangshan Mountain of the sea of clouds. It is also one of the best places to watch the elves from afar in the Bohai Sea in winter.
Little Putuo, is my only purpose of traveling around the Bohai Sea. Unfortunately, the time is not calculated. It is very late when I arrive at Xiaoputuo. In the Bohai Sea, Xiao Putuo Island can be said to be a "small island". Although Xiao Putuo Island is small, it is very famous. It is indispensable in the picture book introducing Dali. On Xiao Putuo, I see the Cangshan and Bohai Sea, as if I am in the silver plate held by the white head.
From Luwoshan, walk about 4 kilometers along Huanhai East Road to Dali, see the seagulls flying by the sea, a pavilion in the sea is solemn and beautiful, the driver master told us to arrive at the important attraction of the sea, Xiaoputuo. Little Putuo Island can be said to be a "pocket island", only more than 200 meters in length, all made of limestone. It is shaped like a round seal, so it is called Haiyin. Legend has it that there are many dragons in the Bohai Sea, often setting off strong winds and waves, and this reef is the big seal used by Guanyin Bodhisattva to town the dragon. Probably during the Chongxu period of the Ming Dynasty, nearby fishermen lost money and built a two-story pavilion on the island, where the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva was worshipped, so the people called it Guanyin Pavilion. The driver told us that the best time to visit Xiaoputuo was early in the morning. At this time, the sea was foggy, and the little Putuo was hidden, like the moon palace, waiting to board the little Putuo, only to see the fog around, like a white veil. This is one of the eight scenes of the Bohai Sea "Putuo". Unfortunately, we arrived at Little Putuo and it was close to dusk, and the fairyland-like scenery was not seen. Although Little Putuo Island is small, it is very famous, and it is indispensable in the picture book introducing Dali. Looking at the Cangshan and Bohai Sea on Xiaoputuo, it seems to be in the silver plate held by the white head, and the heart is particularly open. Xiaoputuo Island is a bright scenic spot in the sea, and Xiaoputuo Island is also a place with a strong Buddhist culture.
