    Before Starbucks.

    Original Text

It is located on the south side of Starbucks, which is a little south of Karasuma Oike Subway Station. In the Heian period, it was located in Sakyo Sanjo Sanbo Junicho, and it is said that it was used for the imperial palaces such as Emperor Shirakawa, Emperor Toba, and Emperor Goshirakawa. However, I can hardly read the essential explanations, and it is a pity that the meaning is an explanation monument.

That's a little bit, Sanjo Karasuma Starbucks!

    Original Text

From Sanjo Ohashi Bridge, which is the starting point of the 53rd station of the Tokaido, I walked west on Sanjo-dori to Karasuma. There are retro places along the way, so it is a good walking path. At the intersection of Sanjo Karasuma, there is a historic site of this "Sanjo Nishiden / Sanjo Oji Ruins". This area, surrounded by Sanjo-dori to Anekoji-dori, and Karasuma-dori to Muromachi-dori, is said to be "Sakyo Sanjo Sanbojujucho" in the Heian period. It is also said that there was "Sanjo Main Hall" as the center of politics. There is an explanation board, but ...

I don't think anyone will notice.

There is a large explanation on the wall of the building where the Starbucks of Sanjo Dori enters the 1 floor. However, the color was thin and difficult to read, and it was thought that almost no one noticed it. According to the explanation, this area was a luxury mansion town in the late Heian period. I felt that this area has been a popular area for people to gather for a long time.

    before starbucks.

I met while taking a walk on Sanjo-dori. It was a high-class residential area in the Heian period. Now, there is Starbucks on the first floor of the building standing on this corner. The person there 々 looked elegant without heart.

No one may notice it very much, but there is an explanation board in front of the building at the northwest corner of the intersection from Sanjo-dori to Karasuma-dori. It means that it was the Imperial Palace of Shirakawa, Toba, and Goshirakawa for the third generation. It's the era of the Heike Monogatari.
