The headquarters of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government on the shore of Nanwan Lake, formerly the Australian Duc government, is a typical Portuguese-style small building. After the return of Macau, the SAR Government removed the original Australian Governor's Office and the former Australian Governor's Office, which had colonial colors inside and outside, hung the national emblem and regional emblem, and raised the five-star red flag and the SAR regional flag. The original "Australian Governor's Office" became the headquarters of the SAR Government today. Since 2001, the HKSAR Government has held the "Opening Day of the SAR Government Headquarters" every year in the autumn, opening the front seat of the Government Headquarters to the outside world for visitors to visit at will. The office of government officials handling government affairs, holding meetings and meeting guests on weekdays has become a friendly and easy-going public tour point. This event has been going on for seven years and is still enduring, attracting tourists and citizens from all over the world like a magnet.
