Climbing the Yue Wang Tower, one can see 'The tower is a hundred feet high, and one can pluck the stars with their hands'
Yue Wang Tower, located in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, faces the Fujiang River. It was built by Li Zhen, the eighth son of Emperor Taizong of Tang, when he was the governor of Mianzhou. It was built during the Xianqing period of Emperor Gaozong of Tang (656-661 AD), and the tower was ten zhang (about 100 feet) high, ranking first among the four famous towers at the time (Tengwang Pavilion was nine zhang high, Yellow Crane Tower was six zhang high, and Yueyang Tower was three zhang high).
Yue Wang Tower has been damaged and rebuilt several times. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, a large fire destroyed most of the tower, and it was extensively repaired during the Yuan Dynasty. A fire in the Ming Dynasty completely destroyed it, leaving only the Yue Wang Platform, and all the cultural relics were destroyed and disappeared. After that, the 'Yue Wang Tower' was unknown for a long time.
The Yue Wang Tower was rebuilt from 1989 to 2011. The main building is now 99 meters high, with 15 floors inside and outside, and the style is Tang-style overhanging eaves and hip roof. The height of 99 meters is still the highest among the imitation ancient buildings in the country (the current Tengwang Pavilion is 57.2 meters high, the Yellow Crane Tower is 52.6 meters high, the Guanque Tower is 72 meters high, and the Yueyang Tower is 32 meters high), hence the saying 'Yue Wang Tower is domineering, Yellow Crane Tower is atmospheric, Tengwang Pavilion is talented, Yueyang Tower is elegant'.
What's different about the Yue Wang Tower?
Floors 1-5 are pavilions, the second floor in the north and south directions are halls, floors 10-13 are towers, the 15th floor is a pavilion, the top is like a pagoda, each floor has an outline, in the Tang-style overhanging eaves and hip roof style, combining pavilions, towers, pavilions, halls, corridors, and pagodas. On the Yue Wang Tower, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire Mianyang City. When the lights are on, the Yue Wang Tower shines even more in the night. Looking at the light show on the opposite bank, an ancient Mianyang and a Mianyang full of technology blend here, and for a moment it seems to be traveling through two time and space, feeling the unique atmosphere of the blend of ancient and modern.
Through Yuewang Building to understand China's famous building culture, known as the first floor of the world's poetry book, but I feel that the creation of the night view is better than the presentation of the culture. The night view is indeed amazing and you can watch the city light show, but the famous personnel tracks and poetry display can also be enriched!
One of the four famous buildings in the world is well-deserved. It is a good place to climb up and look far. There are wonderful places to visit and watch on each floor. The excellent attractions for humanistic tourism can learn a lot of historical knowledge, and the photo punch card is also very popular. Watch the scenery during the day and watch the lights at night. Let's have some strengths.
The Yuewang Building is very spectacular, with a total of 15 floors. There are many exhibitions on the high floors with different themes, overlooking Mianyang City, opposite a park, and the greening is very good.
You can see the lights at night. There are several floors that are eating and resting areas. There are not many visits. Each floor shows the origin of Yuewang Building and history (wallpaper) and other historical relics from the bottom up. The top floor sometimes has performances. Just entered the right and there is a blessing bar, and friends come, you can take children and the elderly to see.
It is said to be the same as the three famous buildings in Jiangnan. The attractions do not have surrounding podiums or courtyards. Just climb the stairs directly. 3-8 The building is not open. I chose the elevator to go directly to the top floor. Each floor has its own content displayed, and the planning is OK. The stairs to the 9th floor can only be elevator down, I don't know how an elevator works when there are many people. The overall feeling is average.
The scenery on the 15th floor is great, the interior display on the 9-15 floor is average, just go around. There is nothing to service, but there are more parking lots. We parked in the South Parking Lot, which is very convenient. The West Parking Lot seems to take the elevator from B1, which is also OK.
