When I visited, I was doing a special exhibition called the sculpture of the tower gate. It is a once-in-40-year opportunity to see the restored sculpture.

The Shizuoka City Cultural Property Museum is a museum located in Shizuoka Asama Shrine, about 10 minutes on foot from Sunpu Castle. It would be a shame if this small two-story museum represents the city in the Shizuoka area where many great people, including Mr. Imagawa and Ieyasu, have produced. Although it is a Shizuoka Cultural Property Museum, I think it is a museum inside Asama Shrine. In the museum, there are many exhibits by Ieyasu Tokugawa because it is Shizuoka, including exhibits of materials excavated from the Shizukiyama Kofun tumulus. Admission is 200 yen for adults. Please note that photography is prohibited in the hall!

We are holding a special exhibition of Tetsufune Yamaoka, and people related to it are introduced. Tetsufune is an attractive person who has never cut people, although he is a master of swords, Zen, and calligraphy who was a contributor to the retainers of the Meiji Restoration. That's why I think Edo Castle was opened bloodlessly.

I found it when I went to Asama Shrine on foot from Shizuoka Station. Unfortunately, the museum was closed for replacement of exhibits. Also, if I have the opportunity, I would like to stop by 〇
