The 13th Temple of Miura 33 Kannon
Original Text
About 15 minutes walk from Uraga station. It is located behind Nishika Shrine, but the approach is at the end of the curve on the left at Nishika Shrine. A temple of the Soto sect Taigen school built in the 16th century. The principal image is Jizo Bodhisattva. There are sanmon, Jizo Do hall and Kannon Do hall on the first stone steps, and there is a main hall of wooden tile roofing ahead of the next stone steps. It is the 13th Temple of Miura 33 Kannon, and it is said that Kannon Bosatsu, which has the benefit of avoiding marine accidents, is enshrined in Kannon-do.
A complex of pay-per-pay templates (but I don't remember how much), nice, immersed in nature with very beautiful trees in autumn. Special mention of the Zen Garden, really nice!
It is a temple of the Soto sect on the hill behind Nishiurawa no Kano Shrine. When successive Uraga bugyo was appointed, he always worshiped. If you go up the long stairs, you will find Kannon-do and Jizo-do, and the main hall in the back. It feels more like an active temple, and the graveyard is also maintained and new on the day 々.
It is a temple behind Nishika Shrine. If you climb the long stairs and go through the mountain gate, you will find Jizo-do and Kannon-do. From there, climb the stairs further to the main shrine. The carvings of cranes, turtles and dragons on the walls and roofs were wonderful. Also, from the side of the main shrine, you could see Uraga Bay and enjoy a wonderful view.
