Zizhong Zhuangyuan Street was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, and later named "Zhuangyuan Street" in honor of Zhao Da of the Southern Song Dynasty. Since ancient times, Zhuangyuan Street has been an integral part of Chengyu Traffic Main Road (East Street), and is the only way to Chengdu from the North Funding. The buildings along the street are mostly on the first floor and the bottom, the front store and the back house, the wooden structure of the bucket beam, the hard mountain style, the hanging mountain roof, is a typical southern Sichuan residential building. More than 100 shops in the whole street are connected to each other, wooden pillars, door panels, flower grid windows, dripping tiles, and grids are consistent and neat, highlighting the characteristics of the green and elegant houses in southern Sichuan, the interlocking halls, and the layout of the four-in-one houses. Zizhong Zhuangyuan Street was first built during the Northern Song Dynasty. Located in the ancient city of Zizhong County, Sichuan Province, it was named after two Zhuangyuan (Zhao Kui of the Southern Song Dynasty, Luo Chengxu of the Qing Dynasty) in this street.

资中状元街,初建于北宋雍熙年间,之所以得名,是因为历史上这条街曾出过两名状元:南宋状元赵奎和清代状元骆成骧。状元街全长850米,沿街房屋主要是明清建筑风格的民居,资中文庙、武庙等一些完整的古建筑也坐落在此街上,文、武二庙对峙而立,属全国罕见,因此具有极高的文物价值。这条资中县城仅留的少许成片古建筑,街道上却显冷清,感觉卫生较差,房屋破旧,无吸引人之处。加上疫情尚未结束,文庙武庙都紧闭大门,更加觉得走在古街上一片茫然了。至于美食,也就看到几家极普通的餐馆,无特色,还有几家卖辣椒面的干杂店,其它真没什么值得消费的。
