This was my first time in Chongqing, and I wanted to make sure I had good food, good drinks, and convenient transportation. This hotel was perfect! Getting around by taxi was super easy, and the subway was also an option, though I preferred taxis. Just down the street from the hotel, there's a whole row of delicious Chongqing hot pot restaurants and tasty baozi. Behind the hotel, you'll find another street packed with local Chongqing specialty snacks, all of which were excellent. The hotel also offers breakfast, making it a top choice for travelers!

Absolutely five-star! I booked this hotel after seeing a recommendation from a Chongqing hotel experience blogger on Xiaohongshu, who said it was great.
And it really lives up to the hype:
1. The hotel is new, clean, tidy, and soundproofed well.
2. The service is excellent. Housekeeping is very prompt, and the robot delivery for takeout is super convenient. There's extra water available in the elevator lobby daily, and free ice cream at the front desk. Overall, a fantastic experience.
3. The environment is lovely. It's away from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions, so it's quiet and relaxing. Strolling around at night enjoying the views is very pleasant.
4. The location is perfect. It's close to IFS Guojin and another large riverside mall. Plus, taking a taxi to any attraction is cheap, usually around ten-something yuan.
5. Being on a high floor, the panoramic view from the room is amazing.
6. And the best part is the breakfast!!! I won't even mention the stunning view from the top floor. My absolute favorites are their Chongqing noodles and wontons – they seriously beat anything I've had at outside restaurants. I had two bowls of each every single day, feeling like a true VIP.
It's rare for me to write so much, but seriously, everyone visiting Chongqing should consider this place!

The environment is clean, tidy and beautiful, with a view at every step. It is a very distinctive homestay that is carefully built. The housekeeper has a good service attitude. He contacted me in advance before I checked in, and all the requests were met wholeheartedly. It was a great stay experience. Each room type has its own characteristics. I will try another room type if I have the chance.

Cleanliness: The room corners and bathroom were spotless, with amenities neatly arranged – absolutely no sense of dirtiness or clutter.
Ambiance: The hotel's decor is very stylish, quiet, and not noisy at all, making it great for photos.
The front desk staff were all very gentle and had excellent attitudes.
Real photos: The pictures are exactly what the room looks like. There were quite a few international travelers too.

k5499629Excellent hotel! A landmark building in Chongqing. The front desk staff thoughtfully arranged a room with a river view for us, which my child absolutely loved. I thought checkout was at noon and asked if we could check out a bit later. The front desk informed me we could extend it until 2 PM, which allowed my child to enjoy swimming. It was truly delightful! My child said next time we come to Chongqing, we still want to stay at the InterContinental.
The only minor regret is that it was my child's fifth birthday today, and he mentioned that every other time we've stayed at an InterContinental, they've given him a gift, but not this time.
Kids say the darndest things, no need to take it to heart! 😂

Guest UserFirst, let's talk about the positives: the room had a separate trash can for takeout, which helped with odors. The lady at check-out was also pleasant.
Now for the problems, and this is by far the most problematic four-star hotel I've ever stayed in. It's the first time I've written a lengthy review for a supposed four-star hotel. It's inexcusable that they still haven't ironed out these issues after being open for so long... No wonder many Globalists also complain about poor experiences at Atour. If you have platinum/diamond status with other brands, I honestly wouldn't recommend choosing Atour. This stay was a complete miss, and I won't consider any other hotels from this brand in the future. Here are the issues:
1. The Atour Xiao Cheng Xu smart butler wasn't enabled, so I couldn't use it to request items to be delivered to my room. (BTW, Xiao Cheng Xu is hard to use, which is a brand issue).
2. Before checking in, I specifically asked the brand's official customer service if Diamond members could enjoy their benefits (because Atour's member benefits only require personal use). So I came specifically to experience it, but I didn't expect such disdain for the member program and guests. Upon arrival, a younger front desk staff member sternly refused me, with a blank expression, saying there were no fruits or breakfast, and didn't mention supper or afternoon tea. They don't proactively inform you unless you ask. I'm not sure if they're intentionally trained this way or what. Also, the tabletops in the lobby lounge area were very dirty.
3. There was no phone in the room, and the 'Xiaodu' smart speaker was malfunctioning, causing my takeout to be delayed by an hour and a half. Attempts to call the front desk using Xiaodu also failed due to network issues and poor connection. It didn't work even after restarting it. If I hadn't added their enterprise WeChat, I would have had to go down to the front desk at 1:30 AM.
4. The notepad in the room had writing from the previous guest... The next day, housekeeping didn't replenish the towels or body lotion. This is the only four-star hotel where I've encountered this problem. Is their SOP based on budget hotels like Home Inn? Even though the hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, fine, but despite seeing that I regularly use a coffee machine, they only refilled two bottles of water... And the chain lock on the door was completely broken. When I reported it, they said engineering would fix it during cleaning, but it was still broken the next night.
Regarding all these issues, there was no apology whatsoever. Their attitude gave the impression that they just want to rely on their location to do one-off business with most people.

I really need to vent about the service here.
First, the good points: The location, ambiance, design, decor, and breakfast were all excellent. It's a beautiful, centuries-old building, entered through a side door next to a church – truly a hidden gem in the city. Everything started off wonderfully.
Then, I was shocked by the service process. We had booked an activity and dinner a day in advance, but the staff member who was supposed to guide us the next day had no idea about it.
It was my birthday, and I had informed the hotel beforehand. I appreciate them offering a complimentary birthday cake. However, I watched the employee walk for several minutes in the rain without an umbrella, carrying the cake. This meant the cake was exposed to the rain for that entire time. When it arrived in the room, it looked exactly like the picture – soggy and ruined. What should have been a nice bonus turned into a rather disappointing birthday memory.
It feels like the staff training is only halfway done. They have all the right facilities, which makes the poor service even more regrettable.

Moxy Hotel truly holds a prime spot in the heart of Jiefangbei. From the hotel, it's just a one-minute walk downstairs to the delicious food street, and within a 10-minute stroll, you can reach Hongyadong and the metro station, making sightseeing and dining incredibly convenient. The revolving restaurant on the 29th floor was a delightful surprise during our trip. It slowly rotates over 90 minutes, offering panoramic views of Chongqing's cityscapes by day and a dazzling display of city lights by night. The blend of the historic 'Nine-Level Heaven' charm with its trendy design created an amazing atmosphere. What impressed me even more was the consistently thoughtful and enthusiastic service from all the staff. The front desk team proactively offered welcome drinks, showcasing their attentiveness and warmth in every small detail. This hotel truly made our trip to Mountain City exceptionally comfortable.

Guest UserThe hotel front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. All the staff were very friendly. I stay at this hotel every time I visit Chongqing, and the breakfast, especially the Chongqing noodles, is a highlight. The noodles taste fantastic, and you can even adjust the spice level yourself – how can you visit Chongqing without trying its noodles? It's also very close to Guanyin Bridge and North Station, so the location is superb and very convenient for getting around. This will definitely be my go-to place every time I visit. The guest services were very enthusiastic, guiding us to the elevators and helping with our luggage. 333 – fantastic!
