XXiarenjunThis was my first time in Shenyang, and for an important anniversary, I chose the Conrad as our base for a three-day, two-night stay. Here’s an objective review based on my actual experience: **Location:** The hotel is very close to both Beizhan (North Station) and Shenyang Station, about a ten-minute taxi ride. If you take the subway, it’s just one transfer, and you can reach Exit A of Renmin Square Station on Line 2 (which is the entrance to MixC Hang Lung Plaza) in about 30 minutes. From the first floor of Hang Lung Plaza, there's a glass automatic door that connects directly to the hotel's first floor. Regarding Hang Lung Plaza, I won't comment on the shopping as I didn't explore it much. However, it’s very convenient to take the escalator down to the basement for a meal, grab some snacks at the supermarket/convenience store, play Taiko or Maimai at the arcade on the basement level, or sing karaoke at Mei KTV on the third floor accessible by a scenic elevator. This definitely adds to the convenience of staying at the Conrad. **Service:** * **Pre-Stay Service:** I didn't receive any pre-arrival calls or contact, which is usually standard for five-star hotels. It made me think, 'Hmm?' a little, but it wasn't a major issue. During check-in, the front desk informed me that our room was still being prepared but offered a complimentary upgrade to a smoking room so we wouldn't have to wait. I accepted the kind offer and was relieved that the smoke smell in the room wasn't very noticeable. * **During-Stay Service:** On the first night, I wanted to take a bath, but the bathtub took nearly two hours to fill, only reaching the depth shown in the photo. After half an hour, I thought it was just because the tub was large and filling slowly, but when it was still the same after more than an hour, I suspected the drain wasn't sealing properly. However, it was quite late, and I didn't want to bother the hotel staff with repairs at that hour, especially since we’d already received an upgrade. It felt like that 'don't ask for a bicycle when you've been given a watch' kind of awkwardness. So, the next morning, I called housekeeping to ask if someone could check it while we were out in the afternoon. When we returned the next evening, the first thing I did was fill the tub, and seeing the water successfully rise made me so happy! I could finally take a bath! I'm grateful to the staff for solving the problem on time. Later that night, we went to the executive lounge on the 83rd floor for the evening light meal. The food was excellent, and they were proactive in asking about our needs. Special thanks to Cloris, Luna, and Rachel for their warm service. **Facilities:** As mentioned above, the room was generally in good condition. There were a few areas that showed some wear or minor human-made stains, but nothing major. Honestly, you don't really use or even touch every single part of a suite; it's always just a few key areas. The bathtub issue might have been a 'historical problem' left by a previous guest, but at least I got it resolved. This does, however, suggest that there's room for improvement in terms of facility maintenance and even upgrades. **Dining:** The executive lounge's food has already been mentioned, so I won't repeat it. For breakfast, I went at 8 AM and 9 AM on the two different days. As expected, it was less crowded earlier. You swipe your room card, then an attendant guides you to an empty table and asks if you'd like coffee or tea. Overall, breakfast was quite good, offering most of the varieties you'd expect from a typical five-star hotel. **Final Thoughts:** One minor point of annoyance was the hotel's elevators. Many guests have mentioned the hassle of having to transfer elevators on the 88th floor to get from the hotel entrance to their room. Personally, I think the waiting time for the elevators is more frustrating than the transfer itself. From the 88th-floor lobby to the rooms on lower floors, there are four elevators. Without judging whether that's too many or too few, objectively speaking, every time I waited for an elevator from my room floor to the 88th floor, or from the 88th to my room, it always took over a minute. There was never a time when an elevator arrived within thirty or forty-five seconds of pressing the button. And often, when the elevator did arrive, it was empty. Perhaps it was because I stayed on a weekend and the hotel had an event? The above only represents my personal experience during this stay.

GGuest UserThe room was excellent, very warm and comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious. The hotel's location is superb, making it very convenient to catch a taxi. Next time I'm in Jinzhou, I'll definitely book the Manxin Hotel again. Oh, and the hotel also offers afternoon tea and late-night snacks, which is a great bonus!

JJoshuaLThe (apart)hotel is located steps away from the seaside and 东方水城 with plenty of eateries (but definitely less than what you get if staying at 中山广场 for example - we purposely chose to be close to the seaside here). The staff from bellboy to front desk/ cleaning staff is also eager to please with smiles all around, definitely pleasant interactions. On the downside, there was a heavy smoke smell at the hallway leading to our unit, and upon confirmation with the staff working at the floor during the time, turns out that the person living next door is smoking 🥲 this smell did creep into our unit over time, which led me to request air purifier and open the windows to improve circulation. Also I need to turn *off* ventilation at the bathroom to prevent smoke smell. Luckily, the situation improved during our stay (so I decided against requesting to change units) since the occurrence of smoke smell became less (perhaps the resident checked out/ decided to smoke less?). Anyhow, this did damper our experience. Also to note a service suggestion due to the smell I immediately requested a purifier unit, didn’t realize that there’s already one sitting in the unit. I also requested detergent since washing machine is available in the unit, didn’t realize that it’s readily available inside the bathroom. While the receptionist happily agreed to my request when I called to request the items (upon checking into my room), they could have also just informed me where they are located to avoid the redundant request. Also, perhaps the detergent should be placed visibly/ closer to the washing unit instead of being together with toothbrush etc inside the drawer in the bathroom - just a suggestion. Breakfast offerings while great is also nothing to wow about (one of our main considerations for hotel selection is to look at breakfast pricing listed, which is 198 RMB in this case, which is on the higher end, so we were expecting some kind of a wow factor). Yes, the restaurant is located on the 67th floor offering nice view, but the spread is nothing to rave about - it’s your typical above average breakfast spread with additionally a little seafood selection. During our stay I did come across an offer to purchase breakfast for 108 RMB in one of the platforms, and I think the value is much closer to this rather than 198, so something worth calling out. So all in all, good hotel with great location/ views/ staff - calling out the smoking issue (more of a people problem rather than hotel’s, but I would wish/ expect that indoor smoking should be non existent for 5-star establishments, which isn’t the case here), and secondarily the breakfast value. The shower issue (lower pressure/ time to heat) from other reviews is also real, but not a big deal for us.

RRandy_WangOur first night in Dalian was at the Intercontinental, and it truly gave my family and me an unparalleled stay. The front desk, considering we had a child with us, upgraded us to a family room and breakfast, and even gave us a welcome gift. They thoughtfully arranged for the extra bed to be made up for our little one in advance. The room's amenities were excellent, maintaining Intercontinental's consistently high standards. The breakfast offered a wide variety, including local specialties like sea cucumber congee and Northeastern dishes, all of which were delicious. The staff were numerous, very enthusiastic, and incredibly efficient at clearing plates. From our room window, we could see several historic buildings in Zhongshan Square, indicating a prime location. All in all, I give it a 100% recommendation and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserI wanted to experience a Shenyang bathhouse, so I specifically chose Qinghe Bandao, and it certainly lived up to its reputation! The facilities are huge. Outdoors, there's a wave pool, a lazy river, and the tiered and infinity pools are super photogenic. However, I wouldn't recommend the wave pool for young kids, as inner tubes can flip over easily – my child swallowed some water and refused to go back in, haha. On the second floor, there are many indoor hot spring pools and a spacious rest area. The third floor has a kids' play area and a buffet restaurant. The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes. The limited-time items include one serving of durian, half a lobster, and one abalone per person. The durian quality was quite good, about 1.5 segments per person, which was plenty. Now, I need to specifically mention the service. When I called to inquire about the hot spring tickets for the next day during booking, the staff member on the phone was quite cold, which was a bit disheartening. But upon arrival, I found everyone to be incredibly warm and friendly! As I was checking in, a young man from the hot spring department happened to be returning to the guest room department and helped me with my luggage all the way – much appreciated! Manager Xiaohui at the front desk was also very enthusiastic and attentive. She helped me store my luggage, and after our room was cleaned, she had our luggage delivered to the room. She also proactively sent us the activity schedule, which saved us a lot of trouble. She even gave the kids water guns and fish spa vouchers – many thanks! The ladies in the buffet area were also very friendly and helpful, providing detailed answers to any questions we had. When we left an item behind, they found it immediately and helped mail it to us. So, the service at Bandao is actually excellent; everyone can rest assured! Plus, the room was very clean, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

GGuest UserThe Le Méridien Shenyang is indeed excellent. Starting with the ambiance, you're greeted with an artistic vibe right from the entrance. While the lobby isn't a massive, high-ceilinged space, it exudes a sense of luxury and art everywhere you look. As a member, I received a complimentary suite upgrade, which was a very kind gesture. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and all other member benefits were perfectly delivered. Thumbs up! The breakfast selection wasn't as extensive as I'd imagined, possibly because I went a bit late, but several dishes were genuinely delicious. In terms of value for money, it's also the best among the Marriott properties in Shenyang. Finally, I must extend a huge thank you to the attendant who cleaned room 1102 that day. They meticulously found my necklace that had fallen on the floor. Additionally, the front desk and concierge staff helped me mail it back incredibly quickly. This truly demonstrates the excellent service attitude of your hotel staff towards guests and the effective training the hotel provides its employees. Absolutely fantastic!

GGuest UserTraveling during off-peak season, this hotel offers incredible value for money. The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for kids to go crabbing. The service is also excellent; it's so much better than the unhelpful one next door! A big thank you to 'Eason' (Chen Yixun) who brought us plenty of water when he saw we had a large group – it felt great to have all our requests met. There was also a very handsome manager who gave the kids fun toys. Overall, it provided a wonderful vacation experience. The hamburger and fish and chips were also great and very popular with the children. On the first floor, there's even a DJI drone available for a test flight, which the kids loved. The only downside is that because it's so close to the sea, the bedding can be a bit damp. If you're traveling with small children, you might want to bring your own sheets.

GGuest UserStaying at The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Dalian, truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. Here's my honest review: **About the Butler Service:** Absolutely top-notch! Even before arrival, I received a call from my butler, who thoughtfully inquired about my arrival time and check-in preferences. From helping with luggage upon entry to the welcome fruit and detailed room orientation after checking in, every single detail was impeccable. When I tentatively asked for a late checkout, the butler immediately and generously extended it until 2 PM. This level of meticulous care truly made me feel pampered. **About the Hotel Scenery:** Perched on a hillside, the hotel's exterior resembles Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle, exuding a full European luxury vibe. The lobby boasts an 18-meter high domed ceiling, a crystal spiral staircase, and colorful domes – every snap looks like a movie scene. The most stunning feature is the 5th-floor sky garden, offering an unobstructed 270° panoramic view of Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge – the vista is unbeatable. Staying in a high-floor sea view room, I could gaze at the Xinghai Bay Bridge right from my bed; both sunrise and sunset were absolutely breathtaking. **About the Unexpected Deer Encounter:** This was a truly delightful surprise! The hotel is built on the hillside of Lianhua Mountain, where sika deer often roam among the trees. While strolling along the winding mountain path, we encountered several of them, and my child was overjoyed. This experience of meeting wild deer within a city castle was simply magical. In conclusion, this stay was absolutely perfect. The service was thoughtful, the scenery was stunning, and we even got to encounter sika deer. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserI originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.

YYoushengdiantaiFinding the right hotel in Shenyang is so important! This time, I chose the Swissôtel by Accor, right by Qingnian Park metro station. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. For around 500 RMB, it even offers a swimming pool. The best feature of the room is definitely the floor-to-ceiling window, which offers a fantastic city view of the TV Tower. The cityscape is really impressive, though I regret not taking night photos as I was out exploring. The room is also quite spacious, comes with a bathtub for relaxing, and the bed is very comfortable. My only complaint is that they didn't offer a birthday treat even though I checked in on my birthday.
