Staff are very friendly. Free breakfast with a classic touch (old style coffee) and the free entry ticket to Lost World of Tambun from the Hotel is a BIG PLUS point. Room is clean and tidy.

Hotel Grand Baron is a great place to stay if you want quiet and peaceful hotel. About 2 km from Taiping center, so you might need to drive or take a cab/grab to move around Taiping town. But if you like the nature, it is quite near to Burmese pool, Bukit Larut, Zoo Taiping and Taman Tasik Taiping

Is a building by itself, friendly staff and big room. It has good water pressure and a laundry room on level 3. Need to drive or call a grab to go to eateries. For the price is ok to catch a grab out. Only negative part is the TV not many channels. Some channels will only start at certain time. This is 3rd time staying here, and I have also extended another night here Nearby have a bakery called Shake and Bake. Can try there

Newly renovated room on 8 floor. Very decent room and breakfast for the pricing. Parking outside the hotel . Good location near to airport and petrol station. Hotel is under renovation but still is decent enough. 41 RM for breakfast for 1 pax seem cheaper than booking online which is for 2 pax and higher price.

My 3rd time stay at this hotel. Overall i can say is the first (2022) and second (2023) better than this time (2025). I don't know why, but I think they need to upgrade their facilities (shower, television channel, mini refrigerator, cleanliness of mattress, got stain on it) cause its look old ☹️. But, the service soo good. They sooo friendly and welcoming. I feel very comfortable and make me want to stay again and again at Novotel whenever I go to Taiping. Btw, their breakfast quite good.

My second time staying at this hotel, the first time was on official work, and this time for holiday. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Annie at the Front Office. The room was nice and clean, had a bath tub and sufficient plug points. The hotel also serves supper beside breakfast, no other hotels serve supper before, except for events, so it's a big plus, and the food is delicious, especially their signature nasi lemak, the best I had in a hotel. And the hotel also link to the shopping mall, Ipoh Parade. So I think this hotel have a complete package.

The hotel is clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and polite, making the check-in process smooth and pleasant. I booked a room with breakfast included, and it was definitely worth the price , all the food was tasty and perfect for a light meal before exploring Ipoh. The air conditioning worked perfectly, I stayed in Room 221, which is located near the housekeeping storage room, so it was a bit noisy during the day when the staff were doing room service. However, the staff were very considerate and even apologized when they saw us heading out for tea . I really appreciated that gesture! Another bonus there’s a delicious mamak restaurant right next to the hotel, perfect for a late-night meal! 😄

The location slightly far from city but with Waze all accessible. The room, the hotel, the staffs, the breakfast buffet all of the superb. My kids quite enjoyed staying in this hotel especially the swimming pool, the seethrough glass from swimming pool to downstairs, the view of Ipoh city and we also get to see some helicopters and aeroplane from swimming pool view too. The hotel management really did a good job to keep this hotel quality the best and I hope the next time I stay there again, it will be remain the same as per now. Things I am looking forward would be more parking lot as currently it is quite limited even now not peak hour season. Hope they will work it out about it. Overall, it is great choice to stay here!

This is a basic three-star hotel that covers the essentials. Good only for a short stay. The room is a decent size but pretty bare-bones. Most of the room floor is tiled—not wooden, SPC or carpeted —and the amenities are minimalist. The TV set is small and has a limited number of channels. Wi-Fi is not so good, and there is no swimming pool. Parking is free, but it is out on open ground and a bit of a walk to get to the entrance. Difficult when it is raining. On a positive note, the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help. Big thumbs up to them—keep it up!

The location was excellent - but having a car made it easier for us to get there and get around. The room was clean and comfortable and checkin was smooth as well. The real highlight, though, was breakfast, especially the cucur bawang. Our team probably cleared the plate as soon as it hit the buffet. The breakfast spread was modest but thoughtfully prepared, and everything tasted delicious.
