"Located near the metro station in the old town, the area downstairs is lively (and noisy) at night. The upstairs area is in ruins, and the hygiene is questionable (don't take the stairs). The room is okay, but the bathroom is too basic. Hot water is boiled in buckets, and you have to wait a long time for hot water to come out after the previous person has finished showering. Overall, I don't recommend it. Accommodation in small hotels in Cairo isn't very expensive, so you can look at other places."
