"Lovely view across beautiful grounds where bungalows are located, to the golf course and to the sea & best beach in the area. But there is nothing close by -you  need to go via car or free trolley to Whalers Village for eating options. Dinner in the hotel was skimpy, poorly presented with sullen wait staff. Bird droppings had not been cleaned off the slate tiles in the inside section - to be avoided! Royal Scoop coffee & ice cream is limited. Hotel is dated - 1 day with no hot water & no offer of even a drink to compensate. Thankfully broken sun chairs on balcony were promptly replaced. Mattress was uncomfortably lumpy - needs replacing asap!!   Had to request a kettle for making tea. In fact the whole hotel has tired decor especially compared with 3 other Waikiki hotels we’ve stayed in the last 3 weeks. 2 basic swimming pools just don’t compare with the style of other Kaanapali hotels. Time for investment to up your game!!"

"We loved the ocean view studio unit! Loved how the doors folded open to make the balcony feel like part of the room. The AC unit our first night did not work and had to be completely reworked. The dryer in this specific unit would not dry the clothes! We tried every setting!  Overall loved the unit and location but a few things could have made it a 5 star stay!"

"This is the first time I've encountered such issues at a hotel: 1. The hotel description didn't mention that rooms are only cleaned once every five days. Am I supposed to clean my own room every day while staying at a hotel? 2. The insurance fee wasn't mentioned in the price breakdown, but I was forced to pay an additional $48 upon arrival. I strongly recommend avoiding this place."
