"Modern and very nice. Staff very kind and welcoming."

"Great location, very clean, and overall a pleasant stay. The hotel was comfortable and the service was good. If the price were a little more affordable, it would be even better. Still, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back."

"I would like to thanks PAT from the front desk!!! When I found it was not easy to order any uber or Lyft to another city, PAT gave me local taxi’s contacts. She also helped me succeed to cancel my next trip (was not cancelable), as I was worried it would be hard to get back from there, too. She’s is so thoughtful, helpful and kindhearted. Thanks PAT and Tru! The hotel is new and clean. The view is great."

"The rooms were clean, and the house was well maintained, but our experience did not meet expectations. Downtown Kalamazoo has its challenges, and I want to see this business succeed. The owners and staff were absent when we arrived, with no welcome or orientation provided. During our stay, we only saw employees at breakfast, and none introduced themself. Before booking, I asked about stairs due to my friend's recent knee surgery and was told there were ten steps to the second floor, with no elevator. However, on arrival, we found there were about 30 steep steps, including five just to reach the front door. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have booked the rooms. Breakfast was late on both days, despite being advertised for 9 a.m., with nothing available beforehand, not even coffee. The cook apologized the first morning, and the food was tasty, but she didn't introduce herself. On the second day, breakfast arrived at 9:30, coffee wasn't ready until 9:15, there were no placemats, and our meal was only lukewarm, even though there were just eight guests. My friend sent a private complaint to the owners, who replied citing COVID as a reason (in 2025!). Later, I received this by email: “As a thank you, leave us a 5-star/bubble review on all three platforms (Google, TripAdvisor, and Facebook), and we'll send you a $30 Kalamazoo House gift certificate. Use it towards your next visit, or gift it to a friend or family member! “Simply click the icons at the bottom to get started-thank you again for choosing to stay with us!” Yes, they give you the links. So, beware, most of the reviews you will read were paid for, which of course is misleading."

"It's a very nice exterior, and I think it's a very nice experience to be able to stay in the historic building ⅱ of the famous person of Karamazu. Many of you staying at the hotel were very high-class and I was able to spend the night very calmly."

"Very pleased with my experience. The pool was nice, and the breakfast was divine. Bed was super comfortable and the tv channels were vast, anything you wanted you could find. 10/10 will return in the future."
