Real Guest Reviews about Koh Lipe Accommodations
"I was a bit worried after reading reviews about insects, so I only booked two nights, just to try it out. Now I regret it! The scenery is absolutely stunning. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was incredibly generous – one portion was far too much for one person. I even ordered an extra child's portion thinking it wouldn't be enough, and ended up wasting so much food. The next day, I wisely canceled one adult's portion. Having breakfast delivered to the room, enjoying the view while eating, was just wonderful. It happened to be my child's birthday on the day we checked in, and they even delivered a special cake with breakfast the next day – what a pleasant surprise! Right below the hotel is the 'glass sea' where you can kayak to the uninhabited island opposite. You can snorkel right off the hotel entrance anytime, and there are hermit crabs everywhere. I truly miss it already and wish I had just stayed at Serene for my entire trip."
"The guy in picture one will pick you up at the pier, and the guy in picture two is a resort staff member. The resort uses a password lock for its doors, and the interior decor is very popular with Chinese guests! It's about 160 per person. 1. Excellent privacy, far from the bustling pedestrian streets of the island. It's quiet with few people, creating a relaxed atmosphere. 2. Directly facing crystal-clear waters and a small beach. The public pool and lounge areas are very well maintained, and the service is attentive. 3. Overall, it's not crowded at all, making it comfortable whether you want to relax or go snorkeling. Right in front of the resort, there are 4-5 Nemo spots. It feels amazing to just see Nemo without spending money! Downsides: You can't rent motorbikes on the entire island; only sidecar taxis are available, costing 50T per person. The roads are bumpy and uneven, making it difficult to walk with luggage. It's recommended to take a taxi in and out. The road to the resort involves uphill and downhill sections. Aya is perfect for those who want a quiet, relaxing vacation and dislike crowds."
"This is a beautifully located resort resting on a hillside overlooking the entire beach. Your rooms will face the rays of the morning sun. However, it does take quite a long walk to Walking Street plus you also have to walk up steep steps at the resort to your room. Service is decent but it can be improved. Kudos to the lady behind the desk on the day I checked out. She was kind and helpful. Breakfast wasn't great at all. I wished they included more western breakfast menu instead of the usual halal food. Coffee was weak too. Pls bring mozzie and bug spray. A lof of mosquitoes in the night. Half dead cockroach under my desk. Weak water system in their showers. Overall. Decent hotel. But they need better maintenance."
"This was my second time on Koh Lipe, and I chose Garden again for my last three days. The location, facilities, and overall environment offer great value for money. The hotel can arrange island hopping tours directly, and kayak rentals are 150 baht an hour, which is cheaper than Sunrise Beach. They also provide free breakfast and affordable massages."
"We really liked the hotel! The location is great, and it was much less crowded! Water was brought every day! The breakfasts (buffet) were amazing! The hotel staff are great guys 👍, they always try to help when you ask! We'll be booking again next time! Thank you for your hospitality!!!🥰🥰🥰"
"Excellent stay at Akira Lipe. The rooms were spacious and great value for the price especially during the low season in late May. Service was truly top notch — staff were always smiling, attentive and warm towards my one-year-old son. The hospitality felt genuine and not forced. Food was delicious, and although the hotel is not fully halal, the breakfast spread was excellent with beautiful sea views overlooking the turquoise water Very family-friendly and strategically located right next to the immigration point which made arrivals and departures extremely convenient (you can finish your immigration and head back to hotel and then go back later once the ferry departs - we did that as we had 2 hours to kill and with small baby it was life saving) Definitely coming back again :)"
