Real Guest Reviews about San Ignacio Accommodations
"The room was very clean and spacious. All the waiters are warm and attentive. We were leaving for a tour group early in the morning, so we asked the front desk to arrange a packed breakfast in advance."
"This place is really beautiful. The operation is smooth, professional and friendly. The food is delicious, the drinks are good and the view is amazing from the pool to the restaurant deck. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My wife and I had a very nice stay, it would be good for small groups and friends too!"
"We had 3 nights at the Lodge at Chaa Creek. This is located a 15-20 minute drive outside the nearest town. It is a comfortable resort type development. The bedrooms were enormous with very comfortable beds and effective air conditioning. Would have liked a door on the toilet area to give more privacy. The restaurant has an expensive and rather fancy set meal in the evening but if you ask they allow you to order off the lunch menu which is varied and more reasonably priced. The hotel organises a number of activities (most of them at an additional charge). We also enjoyed a visit to the local town. The botanical gardens which are a couple of miles away, were great and you can have a guide at a low cost. The staff and service was all very nice."
"We stayed here to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding anniversary with them, and cannot express how magical, stunning, breathtaking, and nurturing the experience was. The staff was outstanding. Our villa was gorgeous, but in the most authentic and eco-friendly way. Eating food grown on the property was also a plus. This was a one-of-a-kind experience. My only caution is that it is situated on a hill with lots of steps. The activities and hikes in the area are somewhat challenging, but worth it."
"We went to Table Rock on our honeymoon and it was the best time ever! There is so much to do on and around the property and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. They make your stay as seamless as possible. The food in the restaurant is also great, and Oscar is a great bartender! I would recommend getting a package deal as part of your stay. We did the Jungle and Sea package and loved all of the activities and being able to stay on an island for a few days and the jungle experience for a few days."
"My husband and I stayed her for three nights and really enjoyed ourselves! The following are the pros and cons: PROS: The place is beautiful! The landscaping is wonderful and the sleeping accommodations are clean and well maintained (good mattress too!). We ate dinner there one night and breakfast each morning. The food was quite good. Each morning, they feed the birds and a great variety of them come to the feeders. It's a great way to start your day! We took a guided canoe trip early one morning and loved the tranquility as well as the birds we saw along the way. Due to having somewhat limited mobility, they went above and beyond to accommodate me in getting me to the river and back. They go above and beyond for their guests. Though you're in the jungle, it's only a short drive to San Ignacio - a perfect combo. The delicious Cam's Bakery Restaurant is only three minutes down the street. Make sure you eat there one night. It's delish! CON'S: I hate to even list any cons, but there are a couple things that I feel should be mentioned. For someone who has some mobility issues, the very low toilets were tough on this gal's knees. Prior to getting the new higher toilets in our house, we had the lower ones and I think these are even lower than those. There were some steps that didn't offer any type of hand railing. Again, tough for those that need or prefer something to hold onto. I want to be clear that this is not just an issue with this property. Belize is not too ADA aware. It wasn't the only place that I found these issues, but I wanted to bring it to the attention to those who might be considering the facility and want this information. The last con was that you might wake up to no water to shower or flush the toilet and might have to wait an hour or so for it to re-establish itself. We encountered this one of the four mornings we were there. It seems to only be a morning thing. With this all said, the Tutt family takes great pride in their resort and ensuring that everyone has the best stay possible. We loved the tranquility of the resort and the warmth shown by the staff."
