They even upgraded us to a room with a window! The room itself was elegant, clean, and well-equipped, even including USB charging cables for various types of plugs (Type C, microUSB, etc.). The TV remote was simple and easy to use, unlike some other hotels where turning on the router and TV is a whole ordeal. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, five stars!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right outside the subway exit and with Guangzhou East Railway Station literally downstairs. However, precisely because of its extreme proximity to Guangzhou East, the outside noise was absolutely excessive. Even at midnight, the street below was still bustling with heavy traffic and cars honking incessantly. The poor soundproofing made it impossible to get any sleep at night. The hotel seems to be aware of this issue, though, as they thoughtfully provide earplugs. Despite the noise, the service staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There is a calming zen-touch to the subtle Chinese theme of this hotel which is also super high-tech, with motion sensor lights and a huge TV that turns on automatically when you walk into the room. Its venue is convenient, located right across the Guangzhou East Station with transport service in train, metro and taxi. Even on rainy days, we could cross easily from the station to the hotel building at a traffic light crossing. We stayed a total of 6 nights, when fresh towels, tea-cups and slippers were given daily, with ample free bottled mineral water provided, and the room properly cleaned everyday by polite staff. Our request for a high-floor room was granted, and we even stayed near the laundry room with free washing service.

Despite its bustling location, the hotel's soundproofing is excellent, ensuring quiet and comfortable nights. When checking out, the staff proactively asked for feedback on our stay. This consistently meticulous service made my business trip exceptionally pleasant. I highly recommend Huayu Wanfu Hotel to both business travelers and families; it's definitely an ideal choice for any visit to Guangzhou! The staff's thoughtful and attentive service, like a gentle spring breeze, truly made me feel the warmth and hospitality of Guangzhou. This trip began with fatigue but ended with warmth.
