The guesthouse is beautiful and clean. They offer free wifi but even though its written on googlemaps, they do in fact not have an airport shuttle (however there are a few public transportations). Be careful when consider using said public transportations, they do not always stop where they should.

Cabin No. 2, 701 Eiðar, near Egilsstadir. 12 miles and 20 minutes by car north of Egilsstadir. It is one of five cabins, modern but not brand new; soundproofing is minimal and that was annoying as other guests were inconsiderate and kept slamming doors. As I write this there is a baby crying in a nearby cabin. The cabins have a beautiful outlook to the back so I cleaned the windows on the outside. The window in the front door is frosted so no view at all. The kitchen is minimalist, only the basics are provided. Whilst the floor covering is made of plastic, it’s actually a fairly realistic version of oak so looks good. The owner was helpful when I phoned with a query; the cleaner was also considerate and was very helpful when I spoke with her. There isn’t a TV in the room – you have to create your own entertainment.

The hotel facilities are complete. It is beyond imagination that the public bathroom is very clean and has no odor. There is only one washing/drying machine. It takes a while for a lot of people. (I waited for almost 2 hours because some people were unconscious. The clothes are left for a long time before they are taken away, which is a waste of my sleep time.) The room is super small. This is the most cost-effective hotel all the way, about 10 minutes drive from the town, the room is very clean, the mountain view opposite is very beautiful, and breakfast, although there are not many types, but enough to eat, public baths and toilets, not crowded, overall satisfaction

It is about half an hour's drive from Ice Lake, but there is no gas station on the road to Ice Lake. It is necessary to fill the gas station in the opposite direction and then come to stay.
