The check-in arrived late, and the hotel was full, but it was more appropriate to arrange another hotel of the same level in the town to stay. I booked a twin room and got a twin suite, which was very large. Across the road was the Holiday Inn (expensive), where there was a lawn where you could watch the sunrise. Just a few minutes drive to Acadia National Park, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and delicious food.SOLD OUT

Daylily is a charming 3 bedroom cottage nestled on a quiet side street in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Daylily is a wonderful base for exploring Acadia National Park during the day then shopping, dining, and porch sitting in the cool of the evening. The waterfront, our downtown, Acadia National Park’s Bar Island, and the Island Explorer Bus service are only a few blocks away. The Explorer provides free access to many parts of Acadia National Park. Huckleberry is available by the week, June - September with a Saturday check in. October - May, our town requires a 4 night minimum stay.Daylily’s first floor has a half bath, its own dedicated high speed internet, aliving room with a futon, Roku TV, board games, puzzles, and books for people of all ages. The dinning room table seats 6 and the fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, makes food prep easy. Upstairs there is one bedroom with a king size bed and two bedrooms with queen beds. The Libby House is one of the largest rental properties in downtown Bar Harbor proper, offering 5 bedrooms (7 beds) and 3 full baths, parking for several vehicles, and sizable, verdant grounds filled with a variety of flowering trees and bushes. The central business district, with numerous shopping, entertainment, and dining options, as well as the ocean, town beach, Shore Path, Village Green, local museums, and the main station for the complimentary Island Explorer shuttle are a (genuine) 3-5 minute walk away. Once settled in this central location, most guests find they can leave their cars parked for the duration of their stay, avoiding the traffic congestion and parking fees that are common to Bar Harbor in the summer.Although almost everything that you will want to see or do in downtown Bar Harbor is a quick walk away, the property is well-sheltered from the noise, congestion and lights of the downtown. The house offers contemporary features and comforts while also retaining a number of historic touches such plaster walls, hard-wood floors, detailed trim, claw-foot tubs, and ornate light fixtures. The Libby House is equipped with high-speed internet WIFI, digital satellite TV, and a DVD player. A collection of board games, puzzles and several dozen books are also available to help pass the time.The grounds are quite spacious, affording considerable room for children to play. Some of our favorite activities include taking an early morning walk on the shore path, grilling on the back deck, enjoying a cocktail around the firepit, and catching a band concert on the nearby Village Green. During our peak season, guests have access to the entire house, except the cellar, a storage room on the 2nd floor, and the adjacent garage and barn. During our off-season, access to part of the second floor is closed (suspending the use of 1 Queen bedroom, 1 double Twin bedroom and one full bath). Close to all the town has to offer, yet far enough away to have privacy and the peacefulness of Acadia. The Perch is a modern, solar powered, open concept, custom designed house that was completed in the fall of 2020. It is tastefully decorated with local art and quality furnishings. Set on over an acre of land, it is a place to relax, reflect and get in touch with nature. There are unobstructed views of Cadillac, Dorr and Kebo Mountains from all living spaces and decks, with peaks of Champlain and Huguenot Head poking through the trees. The yard has been left natural and is visited daily by deer, turkey and other wildlife.The Perch was built in one of the best locations on the island, with direct access to everything the island has to offer, yet quietly tucked away next to Acadia in a newly developed exclusive, secluded neighborhood on over an acre of land. Town Green is minutes away, the Great Meadow trailhead just steps away, the Park Loop Road just around the corner, while the ride to the Carriage Trails is easier than biking from town. The entrance to the Cadillac mountain road is also nearby if you have reservations to see the sunrise or sunset, or you can plan out a sunrise hike from the house or the also nearby North Ridge trailhead. Directly bordering Kebo Valley Golf Club, there is no other place on the island closer to the course. A peaceful retreat with none of the noise, traffic and congestion of downtown, you can plan your day with a hike or bike out the door, even before the rest of your group is awake. Daily hikes from our house are on the Jesup Path, Stratheden, Gorge Path, Kebo Mountain, Homan’s, Emery, Kurt Diederich’s Climb, Ladder Trail and even longer trips to the Top of Cadillac or Champlain Mountains. All bedrooms and the Great room have views of Cadillac and Dorr Mountains. With 3000 square feet of living space, and two different decks, you will have room to spread out. The primary bedroom is spacious with a private deck, a new (2024) King size Aireloom mattress, en-suite bathroom with large soaker tub and cavernous custom shower. The upstairs bedroom has a new Queen size Aireloom mattress an en-suite bathroom, while the lower guest bedroom has a new Aireloom mattress and office bedroom has a queen size pull out sofabed. The downstairs guest and office bedrooms share a bathroom.. In addition, there is a powder bathroom on the main floor. Designer “cooks kitchen” has a fast cooking Induction stove and large island. The high ceilings on both floors and single depth of the house provide amazing light and views of the surroundings, while air conditioning and heating throughout guarantee your comfort on both cold and hot days. While not ADA compliant, 2 story house has an elevator, wide doorways, a level bridge to enter the house and minimal thresholds. It is also a Smart Home that allows voice control of lights and the common area shades. If it is a rainy day or you just want to stay in, there is cable and streaming services on all TVs. There is also an outside infrared gas grill and a microwave tucked away in the island.We also have worked hard to make sure you have extra towels, linens, soap, spices, condiments – all the things you would expect to have if you were home – including a few emergency items in case you forgot something or are arriving late. An easy five minute walk to downtown to enjoy the many shops, restaurants, the shore path and the Island Explorer, which provides free rides around the island. If you want to explore on your own, Acadia National Park is just a short five minute drive away. If golf is your thing, Kebo Valley Golf Club is just around the corner.The home has been updated, nicely decorated and has three upstairs bedrooms with a full bath. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, a second bedroom with two twin beds, and bunk beds for the kids in the third bedroom. All three bedrooms have AC units. The first floor contains a lovely living room with sectional sofa, an updated kitchen with a large eat-in island, an additional side table for two, and a full bathroom and a laundry area with washer and dryer. When we checked in at night, the lady at the front desk politely introduced us. The breakfast is also good, two options can be selected, as shown in the picture, the other is muffins, and there are many drinks. The room was spacious and clean enough to sleep comfortably. The service is also very fast. If you need anything, just go to the front desk and ask him for it (the phone can't be used 😂), and the delivery is very fast. There is also a billiard room (free) and a washing machine (2.5～3🔪) and a dryer (2🔪). Free parking!From€70
