The location although 7 km from the city center that seems near it is not! You have to walk 15-20 min to the nearest bus station and then there are only 2 buses running every hour to reach city center. If you miss the first one then you have to wait another 25 minutes for the second one!
If you are planning your trip on foot avoid this one. If you rent a car there is a parking lot outside in the courtyard of the hotel and several more just outside the hotel on the street. Both parking spots are in the open. Hotel offers a closed parking spot in its basement but on pay.
We had to change room the next day of our arrival as there was a noise coming out of the ventilation system. A supervisor came to inspect the room and after verifying our sayings offered us a room 2 floor down.
During our stay one of the three lift was out of order and it was a nightmare to come down in the morning during peak hours. All three days we were getting to lobby by stairs. FromQAR 193

I have stayed in this hotel before, so I booked it again this time, but the experience was not as good as the last time!
The room was small and a bit crowded.
I stayed for two nights and when it was cleaned the next day, tea bags and toiletry bags were not added. Not friendly enough.
The location of the hotel is very good, just a few minutes' walk from the train station and within walking distance to the city center square. The people on the hotel are very friendly! However, the price of the hotel is not cheap, especially on weekends.FromQAR 387

Location of the hotel was the highlight, it was literally opposite the train station. There were shops and supermart nearby the hotel as well so it was convinient. The room was good and clean, with the view facing the courtyard. Breakfast was good too with a nice selection of food and drinks. The room facilities were quite dated. The toilet flush malfunctioned several times; maintenance was called the first time, and they also replaced a faulty light bulb while fixing it. The hot water pressure from the faucet was extremely low and couldn't be adjusted. The air conditioning consistently failed to work properly. After contacting the front desk, I was informed that it was a 'smart' system linked to the windows, meaning the AC wouldn't operate if any window was open. Two stars because it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. Thats about it. It is certainly not a five star hotel, which it purports to be. We arrived around 8pm and advised reception that we needed to leave for the airport at five am. At some point reception advises that the booking was for one person and they had to charge us for the second. I have never heard of this! So for the extra person for our 8 hour stay, they wanted €100! What the hell for? I looked on a booking sight and showed the receptionist that I could still book a room (which would come with a free bottle of wine) for two people for exactly what I paid. Receptionist kept saying that it would be more if i booked through the hotel. Lets follow the logic here. Why would i book directly through the hotel if the same room is less on a booking sight? The most irritating part is that she kept laughing inappropriately for some unknown reason. The male receptionist kept insisting that the € 100 was for the ”free” hot breakfast. We reminded him that we had to leave before breakfast was served. He assured us that there would be a cart full of food in the morning before we left. Long story short, that did not happen. There was a cart with coffee and a few pastries. But wait, there's more! The man at the reception in the morning told us that if we had asked, they would have made us breakfast. That would have been nice if it was ever suggested by reception at check in! A real five star hotel would have just taken the initiative to prepare the bagged breakfast for us given the conversation had the night before. I also enjoyed how the staff talked down to us insisting that a €100 per person euro fee is totally normal. Because I've never stayed in a hotel before! Thats sarcasm btw. Again, this certainly was not a five star experience. And just to compare apples to apples, we stayed at a four star hotel when we arrived in bologna 10 days earlier. It was 1/5 the cost, the staff much more accommodating and was just as comfortable and nice. Great location with great staff. The bell tolls every so often, but it is no bother. Shower is a tad bit tiny but bathroom is big. Lift is available but some rooms on level 2 has a few steps to conquer - do request a room that does not tackle this if you cannot lift your luggage for these few steps. One key per room, but key can be left at reception. We had 4 rooms all up and they mananged to get us all on same floor & close by, as per our request. Again, all the staff are great. Location is very near to the bologna centrale station ~ 5 mins away. Good especially if you’re lugging a lot of luggages but quite a walk away from the main piazza shopping area ~ took us around 15-20 mins.
Room provides 3in1 cappucino and milk creamer! Not all hotels provide these. There are English Tv channels. There is pillow menu even! Room is clean, kettle is cleaned sparkly too.
Toilet light went faulty during our stay; flickering. We called reception to inform and she was supposed to call us back to let us know if their technician was still around at work to come and fix it or not but she may have forgotten to return us back the call. Very close to the Twin Towers and the main campus of Bologna, a very small hotel. Very clean and the room is not small. After staying, I went out for a lap and came back with a welcome fruit. The breakfast was underground, slightly darker, but it was also cleverly designed according to local conditions. Looking out the window of the room, you can see the corner of the twin towers. It could be better. The historic palace in the centre of Bologna, Location really suggestive and fascinating in particular the inner courtyard, called ”orangeries”, in which there is breakfast room.
The service is improved: at our arrival the room was cold because the previous guests had closed all the thermophones of the room. Ok the historical palace in a 4-star hotel I would expect thermostat in the room to adjust the temperature, but the only way to do it is to close or open thermophones handily. And then in the heart of the night I woke up for too warm.
Washing the bathroom in the flat. Who cleaned the bathroom before our arrival how did he not realize it? Why did he not fit it?
No hot water in the morning. But are we joking?

Temevo anche per questo motivo che fosse molto rumoroso, invece la stanza dava sull’interno e, grazie all’aria condizionata, ho potuto tenere le finestre chiuse e non sentire alcun rumore. La stanza poi era ben arredata, soprattutto pulita e nuova! The hotel is located in a somewhat desolate area, and there is a construction site next to it. The transportation is convenient. Bus No. 25, which goes directly to the Central Railway Station, is right in front of the hotel. I was surprised to see the hotel when I got off the bus.

I wish I could book directly on combo, not through booking or whatever the other connector was... It was unclear about the check-in time. I found out after I payed and made the booking. After all, I had a nice cosy stay, the food was nice, the staff was nice, might come again.

Good hotel. Responsive staff. Great breakfast. Close to the center. Good transportation availability. Of the shortcomings: There is no furniture on the balcony, although the balcony itself is very good. The lack of sound isolation in the room because of the floor wooden door, all you need to add sound isolation material. And there was another accidental hole on the shelf (I think it is a rare case). I recently stayed at the Hotel NH Bologna de la Gare in Bologna for four nights. Here’s a detailed account of my experience:
Location:
The hotel is conveniently located near the main Bologna train station. This made it very handy for our day trips to Venice and Florence. The location is one of the best aspects of the hotel.
Room:
I booked a standard room. While it wasn’t particularly spacious, it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The cleanliness and modernity of the room were quite impressive, especially compared to some older European hotels.
Amenities:
The hotel has a notable rooftop bar that serves aperitif. It’s a nice place to unwind and enjoy a drink with a view.
Service:
The check-in and check-out processes were smooth. I arrived a bit before noon, and they let me check in early. On the day of departure, our flight was in the evening, and we were able to check out late for a fee of 10 EUR per hour after 12. The staff were quite friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Dining:
I paid for the breakfast, which was serviceable. It was adequate but nothing extraordinary.
Overall Experience:
The best part of my stay was the location. It made it very easy to explore nearby cities via train. The modern and clean room was also a big plus. I can’t think of any areas for improvement; overall, I’m quite happy with my stay.
Recommendation:
Yes, I would recommend this hotel to others, mainly for its excellent location and modern rooms. Unlike some older apartments in Europe, the rooms here are updated and comfortable.FromQAR 431

This place is absolutely excellent. It caters for all ages and I will certainly consider using again as a workspace also. The Social Hub is a great concept that will mostly appeal to a younger crowd although all are most definitely welcome.
The rooms are excellent, thoughtful and have everything you need. The staff are all excellent. Location wise this is perfect for access to Bologna Centrale Station. As many travellers will know Railway Stations anywhere in the world are not always located in the safest parts of a city. Although nothing happened and I did not necessarily feel threatened I was very cautious as I was travelling alone with my teenage daughter so also need to consider her safety.FromQAR 292

I have to say I had a great time staying there, with very helpful staff like Doina, Sara. Place is reachable by public transportation with very good supermarkets Esselunga, Lidl around. The room is quite good, but European hotels do not provide disposable slippers and toothbrushes, so you need to bring them by yourself.
