They were so kind and friendly and were particularly playful and interactive with our 1.5 year old (which he loved). We will always remember our time there fondly not just because of the delicious food, comfortable facilities, great pool, beautiful/quiet location but the wonderful staff who made our time so special. If you are looking for unbridled entertainment in the port area, this is not the place for you, although it can be reached in just a pleasant 10 minutes by bike. Very kind staff, clean and spacious rooms, both the pool area and the beach are beautiful and very well looked after. Highly recommended (anti-coral shoes are essential for swimming, when you see the low tide you will understand why....)

The expensive room environment may be better, but the environment is the same. The location of this house is far from the beach of the pier but away from the other. While watching the beach at sunset, I like it very much. I don’t like this location. It’s very quiet at night. The price can also be cost-effective. The most surprising thing is that his family’s meal is delicious! It is better than the restaurant I eat at the pier! His family's prawns have been eaten out of stock! Particularly fragrant! Little friends who can't point can show pictures directly to them! The fried noodles and fried rice made at breakfast are also delicious! There is also a chicken porridge that is also very good to drink! There are three cute kittens in the yard. My children are going to torture the cat every morning. All the service staff are very patient and enthusiastic. I use the translation software to communicate with them. They have been typing for a long time. They are waiting for the attitude. it is good! I really like this Gili Island. I ride a bicycle every day to take a child to the pier to have fun. Then ride back to this quiet villa. Listen to the bells of the passing carriage. It is very fun. I hope to have a chance to come back again~

|0.92km from city centerStayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. We were in Tenda villa which is beautiful with its own pool and outdoor-ish bathroom. It has a little kitchenette area where you can prepare coffee and have breakfast when they deliver it to your room. The mini bar is well stocked and well priced. The villa comes with bikes to use to get around the island. Unfortunately the bikes we had needed some care - the brakes didn’t work on one of them, at all. There were no lights on them, which isn’t unusual for Gili T but did cause issues. It would be advisable for them to add some. The bell also didn’t work! They were clearly old bikes as the handles were split and worn, and the baskets were all dented. Maybe time for some new ones!! The only other reason that Kuno didn’t get 5 stars was breakfast. We messaged every morning to get breakfast in our villa as the public/communal area is quite small. We’d message at 0730 and sometimes it would get to 0815 and there’d be no sign of it. But we’d have got up early as we were diving so needed to leave. Twice my Husband left without eating as it was too late. The hotel said it was because they were busy with lots of food orders, but our breakfast also turned up cold most of the time so it was clearly just sat waiting for someone to bring it. We also had an issue with eggs being mostly raw when they turned up so maybe specify that you want the egg fully cooked, just in case… We never ate dinner here so we can’t comment on the quality of any of the other food.

The small salt water pool was not refreshing and the beds are unpractically placed. In the shadow, it is impossible to be. We felt rather besides concrete. There you could quickly fix with more plants. Breakfast is very good. Except that the hearty variant was once properly salted. Water tank with drinking water in the bathroom and bikes are included. You are really fast everywhere ... with the right bikes. Some resorts have significantly better bikes (dicker and better maintained). This is simply needed because there are only sandy hike tracks. Otherwise you will hardly come forward. Shortest connection to the beach with bicycle (4 min) Super! Very quiet. We have always used to beach from resorts. It was always free but you should obviously order something. Win win situation. Prices were very cheap to cheap. We were very happy to snorkel (no riffs!) and just located on the beach and enjoyed the sun in the shadow :-P. Utara we were last time. That was too expensive for it, and the plant simply misses flair. The location is super!! 5-7 minutes with bike to the main promenade is far enough to not get the chaotic noise!

Both rooms had a very spacious bathroom with hygienic products available, but also a television and a fridge. The beds were comfortable. My stay there was very pleasant. My stay there was pleasant. The staff made themselves available. Concerning the enclosure of the hotel, I did not use it but there is a large swimming pool, bicycles for rent, and a water fountain. The location is perfect with bars / restaurants in the street, and especially the sea a few meters away. The hotel is located right next to the mosque on the island, so be aware that you will probably hear the prayer at 5am (but that didn't bother me).

If you want to go to the more crowded area on the east you have to walk around 20min…way is a bit scary at night as there are no lights everywhere and almost no people. But you can also use bike or the horse carriage. Latter we would not recommend. Rooms are spacious and in a good condition. The outside bathroom (we had to get used to it first) was very lovely as well. Also can recommend the restaurant where we had most of our dinners every night. Did snorkeling directly in front of the hotel which is really amazing…however, due to the stones and dead corals wear some kind of swim shoes (you can also buy them everywhere). Breakfast was good and decent. Food in general can be served on the beach as well. Staff was super friendly!

|1.45km from city centerFirst of all, the hotel is less than two kilometers from the pier, you can take a 150k carriage ride, the location is not bad, go out to the beach, (but most hotels in Geely are like this), the spa is very cheap at 50%, the hotel public area is very good , suitable for taking pictures, this is a lot of places. Secondly, the hotel has a lot of places to spit. The hotel is relatively small in size, and there are some emmmmm in the house...the original? There are many bugs in the bathroom, and a frog crawls under my feet when taking a bath. The sofa was very dirty and damp, and we didn't even cover the sheets! It was the feeling of winter... Then we had a magnitude 6.6 earthquake on the first day of the first day, the house was trembling, the door was very old, and it was so horrible. There is no window in the house. Although you can't see the sea in the house, you can hear the huge sound of the waves, and when the waves are big, the house will tremble violently. It feels very weak! The second day of the earthquake shocked almost one night, a few waves, and the signal of the whole island was not good. The wifi of the hotel was particularly bad. There were only one or two grids, often broken, and it felt very desperate in this environment. The experience is not good.

|0.38km from city centerCurrently staying here at the Coconut Garden Resort in Room 8 which I believe is called ” Honestly, this place has been amazing, so much so - we are. adding another night, and cancelling our stay at another resort here on the Island! I will give you an honest break down of the stay, but whatever inconveniences there were 100% are outweighed by the good things here. Check in- great! We rented bikes near the Port, and biked here, it was easy to find. We chose to bike because we had a backpack and didn't want to carry it in the heat. I want to say that the bike ride took no more than 10-12 mins from the pier. Realistically it also could have been walked. But, once we got here we saw that you can also rent bikes for the same cost at the resort which is nice (40,000 IDR/Day or 4$ CAD) We were greeted by a nice lady at the front desk with Welcome Drinks (Orange Juice) & Cold Towelettes, which was a nice bonus! Informed about the Island, breakfast, and all our questions were answered! They use metal straws, which is great for the environment! We just opted to not drink through them for hygienic reasons (Corona Timing), but this was nice to see. Room - When we got to our room we fell in love with everything! We have been travelling for the past 6 months & been staying at 4+ star hotels & resorts, and this room tops some of them for sure! You need to remember location and environment. You are on an island, in nature so some reviews that mention bugs, etc.. this is normal, we were not bothered at all. It's to be expected & actually, there was pest control spraying insects away. The bathroom is BEAUTIFUL. It is open air a little bit, which means yes you will find some bugs here and there, just keep the door closed and they will not enter your room. The nice air while you sure the Rainfall Shower is a very nice experience in our opinion. You are supplied with Natural (I think) soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, which smells good! Hopefully we can buy some at check out time. The bed is a King size bed which is comfy + nice pillows. I will say linens did have some stains and wear and tear here and there, including the towels in the shower, but I assume this is just from the usage. We brought our own towels, but Sure if we asked for them to be changed they would have been There is a safe, drinks, tv, air con + fan, big pool right outside, & your own hammock & patio set! Bonus: we forgot our adapter but the plugs by the bed take USB & our plugs which was great!! Pool - Nice and fresh water. Reviews saying it was dirty- To be honest again remember your environment.. you are in nature.. there will be bugs that fly into the pool, even in a pool in your own backyard it would be the same situation. This shouldn't be a problem, if it is then a nature resort isn't for you. When we went out to pool, someone quickly came with 2 pool towels. Food - We ordered food when we arrived, and it was great!! |0.47km from city centerWe are regular travellers to the Gilis and always stay at Bale Sampan when we go to Gili T.It has a more transiant feel to it these days with people coming going overnight and then moving on.We had 6 days and were sick for the first 3 so I suppose that puts a damper on your stay.We were welcomed back with a personal message on our bed and the rooms were just as they were and fine.Comfortable bed,frersh water and no plastics(which I love)Nice toiletries,plenty of towels,cloths dryers and nice outdoor chair.We love the cats at this hotel and they are a draw card for us as we spend a lot of time with them.All healthy,sterilized and FAT from being fed.100m up the road is Turtle point and boy are there turtles there.3ft of water and you are swimming with them and have to be careful you dont run into them.The location of Bale Sampan is great too because you are on the main ***** but its quiet and no nightclubs keeping you awake all night.The mosque is noisy as its maybe 200m away but I love the Call to Prayers so even the 5am call is soothing.Not for all and just mentioned if you like your sleep in.The breakfasts are OK but there isnt so many options of juices.Its watermelon and not great.Eggs,noodles,muslies and panecakes but it gets old.Great barista coffees and fresh fruits but eat early.We went snorkelling one morning before breakfast and came back to the restaurant packed with non guests and nearly an hour wait for our breakfast and had to call them over to order.We ordered lunch one day and asked for tomato and cucumber in our roll.Roll arrived and wasnt what ever ordered being ham and we got pulled chicken but ate it anyway not to make a fuss and then they turned up with our original order.Wouldnt recomment the bagettes and they used to be divine.The staff were fine but not the bubbly people there on previous visits,We opted not to have our room cleaned for a couple of days due to the one time they had done it him took an hour to make a beautiful decoration on the bed and we had to wait outside for him to finish and we just wanted to lie down and relax.After that all our empty bottles and cans were left for 4 days on our verandah and no ashtrays emptied off the table and around the pool.They need to be onto cleaning up outside the rooms.No dinners as the kitchen closes at 6pm but there are so many restaurants right across the road.Bicycle hire,snorkelling gear hire and you can book tours as well.Sun chairs on the beach which was great so we could have 2 of the 4 beds by the pool.We will still stay here again but Im sure for the price there are better options in the same area.

|0.75km from city centerBen (the owner) was kind and professional at all times, always helping us and making us feel welcome. The room was very good, the bed was excellent and super comfortable. There was no hot water on the shower but trust me, you WONT need hot water over there :) Breakfast was delicious and they have the yummiest protein shakes ever! I think they are the only ones who have a gym on site, didnt see any other one in the island. The location is good, only a few meters from the harbour and around 400m to the turtle point. Swimming pool is big and deep, you can relax after a beach day! Will definitely choose Tropica again when Im back to Gili :)

|0.5km from city centerAccording to Google Maps, it's about 10 minutes from Gili Port, but it takes 20 minutes if you avoid the passing carriages and bicycles. Never drag a suitcase and take a carriage even if you pay some money.
The owner seems like a local person, but he is very kind and personable. The rooms are so-so, but I understand that Gili accommodations are generally of lower quality than Bali. However, it was a little disappointing that there was a lot of sand on the bed.
The room is so-so. The advantage of this accommodation is that Turtle Beach is right in front of the accommodation, and guests can use the sunbeds for free. A huge advantage is that you can safely leave your luggage in the room and go out to the sea right in front of it without having to carry any luggage! Be sure to meet Squirtle~ Bicycle rental seems to be free, but we didn't try it because we thought we had to pay.

|0.15km from city centerThe hotel is relatively small, but very clean. It is a 10-minute walk to navigate down the pier. It is recommended that you take a horse-drawn carriage. The road is really bad, and dragging luggage all the way is a crime. There are bicycles when you go out to the hotel. There are people cleaning every day, the quilt and towels have a faint fragrance, the minibar is not free, there is no extra charge for bringing an 8-year-old child, and afternoon tea is provided for free every day. We stayed for 4 days, and there were two days. It tripped due to a power outage, but the engine soon started operating. We also borrowed the kitchen and cooked dinner for two days. There really is no hope for Indonesian food.

|0.79km from city centerMyself and a friend stayed at this accommodation for one week (2 different rooms) and had an amazing time; beautiful facilities, helpful staff and great summer vibes. After one week, we left the accommodation (after we settled all our payments, of course) and I returned two days later (we stayed at another island for a couple of nights) for a few more days on Gili Trawangan by myself; that's when the poor management reared its ugly head! I requested to book for 3 more days (remember; after having paid for 7 days for TWO rooms) and due to a POS machine issue (that I later found out, most other vendors on the island know about: Mandiri Bank POS machines don't 'play well' with the UK's HSBC bank cards) the amount for 3 days was seized from my account 3 TIMES OVER (cause the member of staff tried 3 times), yet WITHOUT the amount appearing in the vendor's account. I was extremely polite about it, saying that I will be withdrawing some money in cash and paying that way, but that's when the harassment began... and I don't use the word harassment lightly! For the next 20 hours, every single member of staff would ask me ”Have you taken money out?” at every sight of me, culminating at the event that made me leave the accommodation: The following day, the ”manager” came to my room at the middle of the day, whilst I was enjoying a cocktail, and told me I have to pay if I want to stay at the accommodation... after having paid for 14 nights, only one day into my 3 day additional stay and after their POS machine charged my account 3 TIMES the amount of my 3 day stay already! This, when combined with unprofessional behaviour by the manager, repeating the same sentence again and again as if I were stupid - ”it's not out fault!” wait... is it mine? - managed to ruin one of my limited days of vacation on the island as I had to pack my stuff and roam the streets with all my luggage in search of another suitable accommodation, under the heat of the Indonesian sun at midday, cause the manager refused to allow me to pay ”when it's certain that the previous 3 attempt at payment were indeed unsuccessful”.

|1.1km from city centerBeautiful hotel, beach. The downside is that it’s impossible to swim - you’ll walk a kilometer on rocks and grass and it’ll still be knee-deep. And the second minus is the audibility in the rooms. The first night we didn’t sleep (the toilet was roaring very loudly🤪) and the second night it started raining (some areas of the roof are plastic or glass) due to heavy rain, it felt like we were sleeping on the street under an iron roof. In general, 2 sleepless nights. But overall, it didn’t spoil our mood 😇

|0.8km from city centerWe stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children.
The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first.
I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home.
We originally booked 3 nights and very quickly decided to add on to our stay. Thanks so much Ren and Team for an unforgettable visit!

|0.71km from city centerSo, first solo adventure. Caught a boat from Lombok to Gili Trawangan. Be warned, people will try and sell a one way journey for $50AU. I got one way trip to Gili Trawangan for $14AU. Whilst I was there I bought a ticket from Gili Air back to Lombok harbour and then onto the Airport for $25AU. Journey time from Lombok harbour (the one next to Gili islands - 1.5hrs). Gili Exotic villas is located about 200 metres from where the boat drops you off. You cross the main high street. at this point, where all the bars, dive centres, restaurants and shops are located. On arrival greeted by very friendly staff and get welcome drink. Small pool in main area and you can order your breakfast for the following day. Only five villas in this complex. My villas was clean, large and had aircon and a room safe. Recommended for solo or couples. You cannot hear the nightlife from the villas. However, I’m a light sleeper and always bring ear plugs and you can heart the prayers from the mosque load speaker at 0500hrs, which is located nearby. Great location for access to Main Street where everything is going on. I visited in low season and it still busy.

Voici les différents points que nous avons pu noter : -＞ L’hôtel est proche du port et de la grande rue centrale où il est possible de manger, boire et surtout faire la fête au bord de la plage ;) + bien d’autres (5-6 min) -＞ Nous avons remarqué un grand effort de propreté dans cet hôtel au vue des conditions sanitaires de l’île qui sont déplorables. -＞ Il était agréable de se baigner dans la piscine qui était très bien entretenue par le personnel ! (+au moment ils nous voyaient dans la piscine, ils venaient tout de suite allumer les petits jets pour le dos qui fait filtration en même temps ) -＞ Le petit déjeuner est sous forme de menu et non de buffet. Le choix est assez large. De plus c’est cuisiné à la minute et nous avons trouvé ça très bon à chaque fois. —-＞ Et enfin, je tiens à remercier le personnel qui était ADORABLE ! Je pense que c’est ce qui nous marquera le plus dans cet hôtel. Dommage que nous ne parlions pas très bien anglais :( * Au passage, Google map ne place pas bien l’hôtel sur la map (difficile à trouver, il ne faut pas hésiter à demander de l’aide aux locaux pas loin)

The staff were lovely & so friendly & catered to our every need. We both had scrambled eggs on toast which also has some veg mixed in which is a nice touch & we ordered a tea with milk which were so yummy (which is hard to come by in Indonesia!) The tea was 10k & the scrambled eggs was 30k so it was amazing value. Recommend this spot for breakfast when in Gili T!

|1.05km from city centerMy hotel where I am staying on Gili Trawangan was busy, so I decided to temporarily stay in this one. I wanted a room on the second floor, but these buildings are closed. Currently only cottage rooms are available. The rooms are very large. The furniture, like everywhere else in Indonesia, is old, but has been redecorated. I was especially pleased with the outdoor bathroom... it was clean, with new fixtures and snow-white towels. The staff is nice and friendly. The pool is large, clean and with sea water. In previous comments, visitors complained about the breakfast. The most ordinary breakfast, there is everything you need, omelet, vegetables, fruits, pastries, juices. The biggest disadvantage is that you cannot swim in the ocean here. But this is a phenomenon in all hotels on this side of the island. Another disadvantage is that there are few sockets in the room and they are located behind the bed or behind the TV. Overall the hotel left a pleasant impression.

|1.02km from city centerWe stayed in a deluxe room which was really nice and very good value for what you get. The pool area is lovely and there's a great atmosphere around all day. The bar is also good and they showed live sport which we appreciated, plus organised events like pub quizzes etc. The staff at the bar were all very friendly and good craic. The only downside was the tour we booked through them, which I would definitely not recommend. The man at the hotel reception mentioned this snorkeling tour to us every day when we saw him and was a bit pushy about it. We did eventually agree to do it on our last day but the boat was way over capacity - more than 30 guests on a tiny boat without enough equipment. There were people who couldn't swim at all who had no life jacket even though that was included in the price. When we finished snorkeling they brought us to their friend's restaurant on Gili Air for over an hour which was not meant to be included in the trip. Avoid this and book in town yourself if you want to snorkel.

The location couldn’t have been better, beachfront and close to all the restaurants and harbour. The real star was Juni, the hotel manager. We experienced some drama with the fast boats between Bali and Gili being cancelled and he went so out of his way to help organise us a way home. He also personally helped me extend my visa and continually checked in! Couldn’t recommend enough

The diving instructors are really friendly and give you tips and advice about the island and your travels.
The food is really, really good and all prices include taxes so you don't get surprised when you pay the bill.
Room included breakfast and it was f***ing phenomenal!
If you plan to go to Gili T then you have to book this hotel, try the diving too! It's breathtaking (literally).

Scuba wquipement looked nice aswell, but I didnt have time to test it this time sadly. (Big group with too many plans ;) ) The only slight drawback was the WiFi. The speed was fine, but the connection (atleast to my room) was a bit poor. That being said, they were working on improving it! :)

|0.5km from city centerCan’t speak for the bungalows as didn’t see, but if the toilets and reception are representative then…oh oh. I’m talking about the restaurant and beach. This place has lots of minuses, and I’ll come to those, but the major plus outweighs the minuses in a big way. The biggest plus is that this resort has a few amazing low, hanging trees full of bloom that cast a wonderful shade across much of the beach front. This means that you can enjoy the Sun on the loungers (new covers, staff would clean sand), the crystal sea, or if you’re looking for some shade under the trees you’ve got that in abundance (this part of the beach appears to have a narrow shorefront, that ebbs and flows with the tide, but that’s a very minor thing). This was absolutely wonderful for our three-year-old daughter who made it her playground. The beach to the east gets steadily more crowded and soon enough gets dirty the closer you are to the ferry. West it’s more huts with a few loungers. Here seems to be the optimal spot. Came here for at least part of each day for three weeks. Also almost every day turtles came up almost to the beach. The food is so so, on one day, the vegetable curry was amongst the best I’ve had, and another day it was amongst the worst. If there was any consistency to this place, it was in its inconsistency. The guys that ran, it were really nice, but also don’t expect any level of sophistication in their approach to customer service. I left my hat one day and when I came back the next it was obviously gone. Yes I had left it they all said, but none thought it wise to put it away for me when I came back. A bit pricey but less so than at more fancy places (this ain’t one!) but kind of on par for Gili T that is very dear when compared to Lombok or Bali (at least in the cheap north). Five stars for the beach, trees, and friendly staff.
