Breakfast consisted of blueberry muffins, plain bagels, fruit loops, Raisin Bran, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a waffle maker with the hotel logo heated into your waffle (cheesy to me), and coffee and two flavors of juice. I ordered breakfast in on day two because I was still so hungry after breakfast on day one. The key cards were garbage. It took everyone 5+ tries to get into the room every time, even after taking it up to the desk to get it switched out. We were better off leaving someone in the room to let us back in. Also, you don’t need a key card to get into the hotel side doors or the pool! There is a mechanism on the wall for a key card but the door was unlocked and it wasn’t necessary or functioning. Someone can just walk in off the street and go swimming! I did not enjoy seeing a man’s bare feet and overgrown toenails clacking against the floor while he checked in. That was unhygienic and disgusting. You should be required to wear at least socks. A boy almost drowned in the pool while we were there. We weren’t in the pool so I didn’t see what happened but there were plenty of people not following the posted rules, which weren’t being enforced by staff, and the whole thing seemed pretty unsafe, so I’m not entirely surprised that a tragedy occurred. Other than those gripes, the rooms were generally clean. The lobby was generally clean. Breakfast area was clean. Lots of places nearby for food, it’s off a pretty busy highway. It does appear a bit old but for the $100 difference we saved over two nights vs the neighboring hotels that offer the same amenities, it was okay. I might pay the difference for better quality next time, but for the purpose of our trip where we were out a lot, it really wasn’t THAT bad. You just get what you pay for with this place. Nothing remarkable or worth mentioning about it.
