I did not have the pleasure of using the facilities however, I must commend the staff for always being helpful and friendly throughout my stay. I would recommend that the staff be advised on a contingency plan or when there are power cuts in the area to mitigate any discomfort and inconvenience experienced by guests. Unfortunately during my stay at the hotel, the power went out from 4am till the time I checked out at 2pm. It would have been a nice gesture to offer bottled water, discounted rates, coupons or some type of assistance to the guests who were at the hotel to ameliorate the unpleasant situation of being without power for such a long time. Other than that, I think the hotel is in a good location and is easily accessible depending on your needs in DC.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 12-minute walk to the Dupont Circle Metro station, and about 30 minutes on foot to the north entrance of the White House. This hotel is quite famous, with many significant events in American history, including some from this year, having taken place here. However, the room facilities are outdated. Perhaps it's just the room type I selected? The air conditioning is old-fashioned and very noisy when cooling. What was most unbearable was that there was no refrigerator in the room (I heard from others attending the conference that some rooms do have them). This forced me to use ice to keep my breakfast milk fresh. To make matters worse, the ice machine on my floor happened to be broken these past few days, so I had to carry an ice bucket to other floors to get ice. On the bright side, the hotel's gym and pool are great. The pool is outdoors, and even though it was very hot these days, the conference room AC was too cold, so swimming outside and soaking up some sun was quite refreshing. (Figure 1 shows the old-fashioned air conditioner in the room, which looks like something out of a movie. Figure 2 is the grand ballroom on the hotel's conference level, where many presidential press conferences have been held. Figure 3 is the Presidential Corridor, from which the president supposedly evacuated after the shooting.)

Guest rooms are very spacious. Location is great: walking distance to Georgetown and five minutes to the DuPont Circle Red Line station. Check in and check out were fast. The fitness center equipment was upgraded during my visit. The pool was, however, closed for the duration. Staff were friendly. The business center’s printer’s toner needed to be replaced but wasn’t during my visit but front desk staff helped me with printing. Housekeeping staff are nice but sometimes maybe too busy and can forget to replenish everything, such as paper cups for the coffee machines. Generally very good value hotel.

Even though the rooms are smaller (but plenty big enough!), Hotel Hive provided everything we needed for our stay in DC. We were able to eat breakfast in the morning, have a light dinner (pizza 😊) and drinks at night, and were in close enough proximity to everything we wanted to see that we could walk everywhere. It was also a short 10-15 minute walk to the Metro (to get us to and from the airport or to places that were farther away than we wanted to walk) and had bikes and scooters that could be rented just around the corner as well. We found Hotel Hive fit our needs perfectly and would definitely stay there again as well as recommend it to friends.

The staff did try to repair, but it became out of order very quickly. We had to buy drinking water from supermarket, very inconvenient. The Inn should equip with at least 2 coffee machine and have kettle facility in each room. If there could be fridge in each room, it would even be better.

Hotels in Washington are generally much cheaper than in New York, so I didn't have high expectations for this hotel given its great price. However, it actually exceeded them, apart from being a bit too close to the train station, which meant some noise from the trains. Everything else was really good. The room layout was very practical; it didn't feel small for a family of three. The location was also super convenient, just one metro stop from Union Station, and the metro exit is right outside. Dining was easy too, with fast food and a 7-Eleven downstairs, and several restaurants within a 10-minute walk. A taxi to DCA airport cost $20-30 and took 15 minutes if there was no traffic. Getting to all the downtown attractions was easy by metro or taxi.

Overall was a great stayed. Walked in the hotel right hand side was a bar. Also a restaurant on the main floor. The hotel offered valet parking for a fee. (Shop around for parking near by) I picked this hote was walkable and near by Foggy Bottom Metro station very convenient. Uber took about fifteen minutes to Washington DC museum area. Check in was very efficient. Unfortunately we got in some issues regarding for this booking. Long story short, a manager Mahmoud C was very patient and professional to resolve the issues for us. It was not what we wanted but there was no other better choice. We only stayed one night in The Melrose Georgetown Hotel. The room was spacious and well maintained. It was very comfortable.

The location is very good. You can walk to the scenic spots and Union Station, and it is also convenient to take the subway. The building materials are durable and the facilities are a bit old. The location and staff service were great, but there was no hot water in the room!! I stayed for two nights. On the first day, I called the front desk and an engineer came to my room to fix it, but after a few hours, the water came back cold. On the second morning, I left a note saying ”no hot water,” but when I returned that night, there was still no hot water... The staff and engineer were incredibly nice, but the lack of hot water is unforgivable!! However, everyone was nice, and it was a wonderful hotel!! Thank you!!

This hotel was surprisingly good! I'd read reviews saying it was a bit dated, and while it definitely isn't brand new, the decor felt a bit more upscale than other Westins I've stayed at. They have their own paid parking, which I think was around $60 a night, but we didn't use it. Instead, we found street parking right outside using an app, and it cost us less than $10 for the whole night – super cheap! It felt very safe and clean, and it's only about a 15-minute walk to the White House, which is incredibly convenient. Definitely worth staying here again!

Beyond the great location, there's not much else to rave about. 😂 The staff were incredibly cold; not a single smile, and even the room service operator had an icy tone. There was absolutely no sense of hospitality. The facilities are outdated; the hairdryer looked like it was from the last century, and the shower only had a fixed overhead head, which was really inconvenient for bathing a child. The pillows and mattress were uncomfortable, and the curtains didn't close properly, letting light in – overall, I didn't get a good night's sleep. Another baffling design flaw was how far the power outlets were from the countertops, making them extremely inconvenient to use.

It took more than 30 minutes to ask for a pair of slippers, and I waited for an hour and a half for a toothbrush, but it still didn't come. I called to ask, and the reply was: I forgot! I checked out on the third day and told the person in charge about such bad service. This person said sorry, but he was actually very arrogant and didn't apologize sincerely. No one helped with the luggage when I left the hotel. The guy at the door didn't leave at all. Well, I saved the money for a cup of coffee. DC St. Regis, no chance next time!

This stay was a complicated experience. The hotel is popular, but the service response is really not up to par. There is a long queue for check-in and check-out. The room request cannot be processed in time, which makes people anxious. The lighting design of the room is unreasonable. There are only floor lamps and table lamps, which are dim at night. And there is no drinking water, which is too inconvenient. However, the sanitation is very clean, which is worthy of recognition. The sound insulation is poor. If there is any movement outside, it can be heard clearly in the room, making it difficult to sleep well. In addition, the decoration is old and the corridor is gloomy, which makes me feel creepy when walking at night. It is affordable and has a five-star brand. If the budget is limited, it can be used. The bedding and environment of this hotel are all very good. The most criticized thing is that some of the charges are not clear, and it is easy to overspend and overpay. For example, breakfast is provided, but in fact each room is controlled at 80 US dollars, and the excess is paid by yourself. Because it is a à la carte meal, the price on the menu does not include tax, and guests will not consider these things in advance. When calculating the amount, they usually exceed the amount because of not considering the tax. There is also a 30 US dollar mini bar and bar, which is simply mandatory consumption. The hotel can rent bicycles, the room is decorated in white style, but the space is a little lost. It’s a pity that there is no landscape. However, the main thing I didn't like was that the garage is open until 6 pm and if you leave by car and arrive a little late, they won't let you into the parking lot. Because of this, we had to look for another garage far away. This was a big minus.

I stayed in the Phoenix Hotel with my daughter and sister. The facilities in the hotel are really excellent and easy to walk from Union station. However, i found out that on the first day i came into the room,there was a lot of dust on the floor and small pieces of snacks. Moreover, during our stay we had to contact the staff at the front desk, some staff made me feel really upset about services. One night,my sister went to ask the staff about how to open the laundry room , there were 2 staff members on duty and one of them said that if you could not open it meant it closed, and then he turned to laugh with another lady staff on the counter. We are Asian people, many many times that the staff in this hotel made us feel like they were looking down on Asian people and tried to make fun of us. That made us feel really bad about that. THAnny ChompoohI stayed in the Phoenix Hotel with my daughter and sister. The facilities in the hotel are really excellent and easy to walk from Union station. However, i found out that on the first day i came into the room,there was a lot of dust on the floor and small pieces of snacks. Moreover, during our stay we had to contact the staff at the front desk, some staff made me feel really upset about services. One night,my sister went to ask the staff about how to open the laundry room , there were 2 staff members on duty and one of them said that if you could not open it meant it closed, and then he turned to laugh with another lady staff on the counter. We are Asian people, many many times that the staff in this hotel made us feel like they were looking down on Asian people and tried to make fun of us. That made us feel really bad about that. But there were not all staff that treated us bad like that,there were still good and service minded staff in hotels such as the doorman and the staff on the last day we checked out.

Staff were friendly & helpful, but there was no kettle in the room, there is only one coffee machine for the whole Inn and it was out of the order most of the time during our stay. The staff did try to repair, but it became out of order very quickly. We had to buy drinking water from supermarket, very inconvenient. The Inn should equip with at least 2 coffee machine and have kettle facility in each room. If there could be fridge in each room, it would even be better.

The hotel is economical and located in the heart of DC. The room was clean, neat, and comfortable. Historic building but excellent location and nearby eateries should keep your stomach full and taste buds busy. The staff at check in was very good. I will recommend to anyone looking to stay for a day or two and close to metro station

This was my first time staying at a hotel in the Washington, D.C. area. It was a wonderful experience! The environment was great, clean, tidy, and quiet. It's also very close to the White House and the Washington Monument (within walking distance). Really great!
