          We had several family groups staying here for a wedding. This is the ONLY hotel which would guarantee a connecting room for one of our larger families (turns out that booking two connecting rooms was less expensive than a family suite at other nearby hotels). Waking up and having a FREE breakfast bar available was very convenient - there was a variety of hot breakfast items as well as fresh fruit and juice. There was also a little ”pantry” area in the lobby where we could get snacks, drinks, and microwavable items to heat up in our rooms. The FREE coffee/tea bar was available all day as well as strawberry infused water (delicious!). There is a very nice lounge area by the outdoor pool (heated!). The rooms were large and very comfortable with a small microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker (although we just got coffee from the coffee/tea bar). All in all, a great place with all the amenities to make a stay with children very relaxing! In addition, the entire staff (front desk AND housekeeping) was welcoming and friendly - you get the sense they all enjoy working there! There are great dining options in downtown Morgan Hill. There are a LOT of park/playground options nearby, Gilroy Outlets are 10 minutes away, San Jose Airport about 1/2 hour away.

          There is no excuse for how filthy our room was. Housekeeping is not doing their job. Plain and simple. I realize this is not a five star hotel, we were here because we wanted a place to still ”live” while our A/C was being repaired during a heatwave. Since nicer hotels lately do not have dining options, this made the most sense.  Hotel was recently updated and I appreciate the USB ports and such, but the lighting is awful. If you have low vision issues, do not stay at this hotel. The kitchen is like a cave there is just not enough light.  Due to Covid-19 I bring all my cleaning supplies and do a disinfecting job. I know hotels say they do this, but please do not trust them especially this hotel. The kitchen floor was disgusting black as could be with dirt. Crumbs in the corner as if housekeeping just swept to the corner and left. The sheets had what I would assume was urine stains all over them. The bathroom door had marks, dirt and who knows what all over it. Seriously all you would have to do is clean the door. How hard is that? The vent for the A/C needed to be cleaned months ago. Again, all it would take is a good wipe down or vaccum.  Our feet were BLACK after walking on the carpet. You would get into the shower and dirt would be running down the tub.  Even the pot holders were filthy. Shouldn't these be cleaned after each stay? The vent for the stove fan was broken and never worked.  We did contact the front desk about most of these issues. They did apologize and supply us with new sheets. We did not get the stove fixed because they wanted a 3 hour window for us NOT to be in our room before they would enter to fix anything. Ridiculous request even during Covid.

          I stay here every few weeks. The always-friendly staff remembers my name at check in! The rooms are clean and well-maintained. During Covid seasons, this ESA/Morgan Hill Staff works together just like a family-run business. I've seen the manager help out with small housekeeping tasks to make sure the guest is not inconvenienced in any way. A Full kitchen (no oven), great for those of us who prefer to eat at home, or special diet issues. ESA/Morgan Hill goes above and beyond to make sure we feel safe and ”at home”. This is not a conventional ”hotel”, yes, you can book for one night, yet there are those who are here for longer stays. It's not uncommon to walk thru hallway around 6pm and your neighbors are cooking their meals. This is a nice area, close to Walmart/grocery, restaurants and just over 5 minutes to the downtown/city center area. The guests here seem to be very respectful, employed people. I highly recommend it for those who love a kitchen with their room, or a clean, comfy, convenient location!

          checked in for a 3 day stay for a funeral. Upon check in key did not work. Took three tries up and down from room to get a working keycard. Day two left at 9am returned at 9pm to find keycard not working again AND room had not been touched by housekeeping. Called the front desk and was told housekeeping was too busy to service rooms of people that were there more than overnight. I asked when I could talk to the manager and was told in the morning. Next morning, no manager but was told room wasn't serviced because of COVID. However national mask mandates on airlines were lifted the week before! I asked that my room be serviced before I returned that evening. Came back, again around 10PM and keycard not working again!! This time after 3 tries with new keycards the manager came out and made a new card, Desk manager apparently was doing it wrong. I asked the manager to accompany me to the room to check the card he made, 4th try tonight, and he looked at me and said no. He said go try it again and if it doesn't work come back down. My patients growing thin I asked if my room was serviced, and he said he thought so. I asked what had happened the day before and he said it was not their policy to service the rooms unless they were asked to. He then told me he was tired of people complaining just so they could get a discount! I then asked for his business card, so I could call corporate and file a complaint and he said he was new so no card. How convenient! I asked him to write his name down for me. He did but I doubt it is his real name. You expect more from a Wyndham property!! Stay far away from this place!
