The hotel seems to have spent a lot of money renovating the lobby...which is beautiful. They also seem to have spent a lot on misleading photographs of the room interiors. The rooms themselves are much more rundown than the pictures online show and they have strategically avoided showing some parts. After exiting the elevator, we were pretty shocked by the stark contrast from the lobby. I had been expecting the room would be more similar to what was pictured and up to the general standard of other Kensington Hotels we have stayed at. However, for the price, I suppose this could be expected. This is more of a cheap older Korean motel than a hotel...it is definitely not a resort. We weren’t planning on spending a lot of time in the room so I initially didn’t care because the location is great but unexpected rain changed our plans. If you are planning on going hiking and staying outside, this is a great place to stay...Beautiful views/close to the park! However, this is not a staycation kind of place/a room you want to spend a lot of time in. The room was generally clean but the bathroom had some noticeable patches of mold and a distinct sewer smell that remained despite closing the bathroom door (something that could easily be fixed by installing a valve.) There was also a very visible oily handprint on the door (possibly the result of the kitchenette.) I’m unsure why some reviews are as positive as they are...except the location. I would stay here again if we were passing through or hiking as planned but two nights was way too much.

Located at the foot of Mt. Chii, the river flows behind and the location was great. The room was clean and large enough for three people to stay. I would like to use it if I have the opportunity to go again.

Such a pretty place, not far from Gurye Bus Terminal and the Hwaeomsa Temple. You can take the Gurye Taxi to get anywhere, for exmaple to Seongsamjae Rest Area, from where you can hike down the mountain. The Hotel itself was very cozy and clean and friendly. Would definitely like to go there again!
