We had the most lovely stay at the University Arms in Cambridge. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the hotel smelled amazing. The rooms were quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable! The bartenders in the lounge area were exceptionally kind and made delicious cocktails! I especially want to highlight the restaurant manager, Francesco. He was extremely gracious, welcoming, and professional and made our stay at the University Arms that much more wonderful. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel, very good location. Just a short walking distance from the city center. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The building is well decorated. I liked the bar and the restaurant. It was a comfortable stay. The staff was very good, very helpfull especially Ms Fidan at the reception. She was very polite, kind and considerate. This was my first visit to Cambridge. She gave me precious hints and tips which helped me enjoy the city much more.

The boutique hotel host up to rooms with Chinese and European style interiors and have a beautiful public spaces which house bars and communal outdoor areas. The art style interior of the rooms is characterized by combining the past and the future. Everything comes from Cambridge history. The homey and comfortable Mattresses is why I chosen here, we spend around a third of our lives in bed, should give ourselves the best experience, and highest quality rest we can. Excellent value. Breakfast and garden dinner were always a good choice. We will definitely come back in the future!!!

The location of the hotel is very good. There is a museum opposite and almost all attractions can be reached on foot within 15 minutes. The hotel service is very good, very welcoming, and there is also valet parking service. The food in the restaurant is also good, but the speed is a bit slow. The hotel is in British style and is very unique. Already recommended to friends.

Very good hotel, near the University of Cambridge, within walking distance to King's College and Trinity College. The breakfast is also great. There is also Chinese service at the front desk, which is very convenient.

I came here with friends for a couples evening towards the end of a night out in Cambridge and we used the ground floor bar at the hotel. The ground floor bar is cozy with open and closed seating arrangements. you even sit an alcove with your other half to enjoy a drink. Later on, we got to enjoy a drink in a library of the hotel, which has a warm environment. The bar is an extensive cocktail and spirit menu and a good list of fine wines. There is even a wine cellar next to the bar We were served by the bar staff, Andy and Luca, who both did nice job at serving us drinks and looking after everyone. Both friendly and very approachable. Though I have not tried staying at this hotel or tried restaurant yet. But I get the impression from the decor of the hotel that you are likely to have a very comfortable stay.

Spent a lovely week at the Hotel du vin. Our room was clean and cozy, food was delicious and staff was very friendly, ready to fulfill every request we had. The bar was so good that most of the nights we preferred staying at the hotel rather than going out. Definitely coming back soon

The room is clean and tidy when we checked in, they use white company shower products and also provide bedroom slippers which is great for hygiene. We did experience some poor customer service experience as we arrived around midnight and there’s no service staffs at the front desks and we had to knock on the glass door to seek attention. Then the reception staffs got confused with the room booking and assigned two same rooms to us. Then they asked us to insert card and pay again for the prepay hotel. I had to clarify and then also informed them about the breakfasts for next two days had been paid. On the next day they asked again and on our last day they still didn’t have our records about the breakfasts again and all the staffs did was to blame that it’s systems glitch. Even on our last day they still said there’s no records of breakfasts paid. Overall the room quality is pretty good, the cleaning of the room could be better as we still see hair on the bed after it was cleaned on the 2nd night. There’s also some issue with the bathroom door for one of our rooms, and the staffs fixed that timely. It’s mainly the front service staffs that were not very professional and seems like they haven’t been updating the systems records well or getting the systems fixed so that all these could be prevented.

The hotel should be considered very good in the UK, but it is incomparable with the domestic Hilton. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the attractions, and it costs a lot to take a round-trip taxi.

This hotel was beautiful. Just off the A14 and down a long drive you arrive at this lovely setting with out buildings and an area for wedding parties. Plenty of parking all close to the entrance. On arrival we were greeted and given our room key. We were situated in an outbuilding (Room 404) next to the spa. It seemed this building only had 2 rooms, so we were happy with this. The room was upstairs and had windows in the ceiling to bring in good light. The room was spacious with a nice size bathroom and walk in shower. No complaints about the room at all. I was awoken at 2am but the other room occupants giggling when they came 3 / 4 through the main door. This will happen in any hotel, so this is not a complaint and my wife was not woken. It only lasted 15 seconds until they got in their room. We made good use of the spa facilities using both the Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi. They were empty when we were there, so it was nice, quiet, and great to relax. There are also Steam Rooms, Sauna, and a Gym to use. All looked quite quiet when we were there. There are sunbeds around the pool if you wish to relax and stare into the countryside. Although we didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel, we did have breakfast. Service was good and there was a wide variety of choices. Hot breakfast was cooked to order and service was with a smile. We paid nearly £200 for our visit but enjoyed our stay and it was worth the money.

On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant reception staff. We were extremely underwhelmed by our room, for the price that we paid - £188.00 for room only. It was certainly not worth it. We were hoping for some nice toiletries but only had a tiny bar of soap and a small pot of body lotion. The room itself wasn't in the best condition, the carpet was very warn and there was countless spiderwebs, we had to remove 5 spiders before we got into bed. We had a slight panic when we arrived and noticed that there was a wedding, we expected it to be really loud until the early hours but we couldn't actually hear them at all - which was a relief. Until 1:30am when the staff decided it was a good time to take the bins out... dragging them across the gravel outside our window. It's an old building so there's also lots of creaks and movement through the night, even our door was rattling with the wind. The spa facilities were lovely, and it was great that we could access these before and after check in/check out - one has to wonder if the cost reflects the use of the spa as opposed to the room itself. If you aren't going to use the facilities, it's not worth the cost. Breakfast was lovely - £30.00 for 2 people, expensive but i think it was worth it. Cooked breakfast was fast and really nice. The continental buffet was well thought out with lots of options to choose from and tasty pastries - not sure the Indie music playlist was quite appropriate to the setting though! I wasn't expecting to sit in a spa hotel listening to Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance whilst i had my brekkie.

A bit fussy. Hotel open only on weekends, 17 rooms total. Victorian house on a busy road, but there was no road noise. Park behind the hotel. Can leave the car in their car park after you check out. Wi-Fi works near the reception and in the basement breakfast room, but not in the guest rooms. Relatively costly. Some rooms are accessed by entering the front door, going down to the basement, and up again. Tip: you can exit through the back door to the parking lot but cannot come back the same way. Still if someone holds the door open for you, it is the easiest way to get luggage from the car to the hotel. This was not mentioned at check-in, and we carried our bags up and down many stairs! Good sized rooms, tasty full English breakfast, also some yogurt and fruits. When I tried to lift the sash window, it came out in my hands. Fortunately, I didn’t drop it on my foot. About 15 mins walk to the town, either along the main road or along the river.

Given the fantastic location for what we needed and size of the room which included breakfast it was very good value. The staff in the pub opposite were also professional and friendly. The breakfast staff at the hote were helpful and though some staff were off unwell these 2 were really holding it together and with cheerful greetings! Also the house keeper who made sure we had what we needed and it was very clean.

An unexpected hotel, a standard old British-style hotel, without an elevator, but it seems that the accommodation has a total of 2 floors, and the first floor is the restaurant. Use the key to open the door and hand the key to the front desk when you go out. Although the room is not big, the toilet is quite big and the breakfast is very good.

A small exquisite hotel, 8 minutes walk from the train station, the main street at the door leads to the core area of Cambridge, walking for about 15 minutes. The room is small and complete, with heating, breakfast, and the room on the street, a bit noisy.

The hotel was a little bit further than I expected from the town centre. There is a bus route that can go to the town but it's up to a 10 min walk. It would be great if the hotel provided at least a shuttle service because taxis were also quite expensive just for a few miles. The hotel itself was presentable, the staff was helpful and nice, and the rooms were also spacious enough and clean with all the usual amenities. My room had the disabled bathroom so it was a little bigger I think but the drainage needs sorting out because the whole floor almost flooded with water. The heating A/C was working well and quiet. Breakfast the next morning was included in the price and the choice was basic but enough. I did feel that the plate was smaller than many other places I've stayed at but I guess that was to avoid food waste. They had scambled egg only, sausages, bacon, beans, toast, tea/coffee/juice, 3 cereals and spreads for toast-not bad but could be a little better in variety.

Starting with their location, its quite far from Cambridge Station. From Cambridge Station to hotel: by walk is around 22 mins, by bus is 19-22 mins (£2.80 Adult). From Cambridge City Centre to hotel: by walk is around 27 mins, by bus is 15-19 mins (£1.50 Adult - Elizabeth Way Stop, £1.80 Adult - Newmarket Road stop) Their sevices are ok, friendly and respectful. But no smile, as in poker face. Cleanliness is on point. Absolutely clean and spotless. Very comfortable. As for amenities, they provide all-in-one wash which is bodywash + shampoo in one container fixed firmly on the wall. No bar soap.

My room was spacious and was meticulously clean and beautifully appointed. The comfortable bed and luxurious amenities ensured a blissful night's sleep. One aspect that truly set this aparthotel apart was its exceptional staff. Every interaction was met with impeccable service and attention to detail. Furthermore, the aparthotel's facilities were top-notch. The well-equipped gym offered a range of rejuvenating activities, allowing me to unwind and indulge in self-care. In conclusion, my stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Impeccable service, breathtaking surroundings, and attention to detail made it an unforgettable experience. Firstly, I have to say, some of the reviews here are a poor reflection on what actually is offered. The hotel and gardens itself is stunningly beautiful, and the rooms although small are gorgeously decorated and have most things you would need in them, including a fan. You have to realise this is a very old building, so it will have its charms (for example, not all windows will open in the older part of the house) but overall, the beauty of the rooms outweigh these small details, and the rooms are thoughtful and homely. Alison runs a ”dry venue” so she will make sure everything runs to plan, but really it is up to you to make sure the day runs as it should. They don't have facility to offer you a bar/restaurant - however what they do offer is very well executed. They are pretty hands off, which is fine, I just asked permission for what I needed, briefed everyone thoroughly and the day went without a hitch. I personally couldn't have been happier. Check-in is from 1500 which is stated when you book the room, which for the majority of people who came to our wedding was fine, it is contactless, no issue there as far as I'm concerned. The bridal suite isn't available until 11am - which in my case was fine. I paid for another room in which to get ready and leave my dress etc the day before which saved a scramble on the day. It was only up the corridor from the bridal suite and I only took what I needed. The caterer RF recommend - CDC are absolutely flawless, and our food and drinks service was absolutely outstanding. Sam who was put in charge of running our day, and Ellena who looked after us in the lead up were absolutely fantastic. The food was tasty, hot, and plentiful, we opted for buffet style and I can't find a single guest who had anything negative to say about the entire day. I hired a company to decorate and pack down my marquee the next day - and someone to deliver my wine (a man in a van) which was a godsend as again, no faff! Without the help of these companies you would end up doing it yourself, and in the terms of the contract you do have to vacate the marquee by 10am so do bear this in mind. I think considering my wedding isn't the only one this year (shocking, I know) that was absolutely fair enough, and these times were easily achievable by my team. CDC cleared everything to the side - bless them, and Roger locked the marquee overnight so everything was easily packed into our car the next day and safe. Breakfast did change in the time between booking and getting married, but the English charm of the self boiled eggs, the portmerion dishes and the little pots of tea and toast was adorable and not far away from what I would have wanted had I been at home. Her staff (I'm so sorry I can't recall names) were friendly, polite and the lady doing breakfast was a total sweetheart. If you did fancy a fry up, coton orchards is a minute alway, but quite honestly what was on offer was perfect for us and our small group (we had

Given the £150 a night pricing and established brand name, I was unhappy to spend a combined 5 hours queuing to speak to front desk RE a pre-booking query - when they finally answered after 90 minutes wait on my 5th attempt I was immediately hung up on. I booked the ”more with your stay” option which includes parking and nothing more. Further issues occurred at check-in when they attempted to charge me £15 for parking anyway. I explained that this wasn't correct, showing them my booking confirmation and explaining that parking was included as I had confirmed pre-booking. Despite confirming that I wouldn't be charged, I was still subsequently charged £15 necessitating a further call back from myself to resolve. The stay itself was comfortable, the hotel, rooms and facilities are nice and fairly well cleaned.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 2 nights between May 30 - June 1 2023. Overall the hotel was great and we had a pleasant stay, we had planned to visit the town center and look at the history of Cambridge thus the location was important to us. It was only a short drive (5 mins) to the centre where we could go punting, shopping and to the universities, museums and gardens. We included breakfast in our stay, which I would highly recommend there was a great selection of foods and the pancake machine was a huge win for us. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that dressing robes and waters which are usually complimentary in other hotels we have visited, were not included in the room for free and when we asked we were told we could drink the water from the bathroom, which was not pleasant but other factors such as the fact our room was cleaned regularly and the amazing breakfast did make up for this.
