The rooms are very simple and the food is basically in line with Aman's standards. There are not many options for event planning, so you need to arrange it yourself.

The hotel was designed by the famous designer Bill Bensley. The complex decoration and the natural landscape of the natural waterfall and river make the hotel very unique. The hotel service is also very good. In the hot weather in Laos, there are service staff to deliver ice water and ice towels at any time, which is very considerate!

The hotel is built on a hill and is close to the center of Luang Prabang, with convenient transportation and tranquility. The architectural style reflects the perfect combination of traditional Laos traditional houses and European modernism. The architectural color system is mainly black and white, supplemented by red bricks and gray tiles, with solid wood copper ornaments. Lively! Very suitable for leisure holidays, and the price is super high!

Our stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points. Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating. However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all. Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do. Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards. Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space. We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue.

Usually don’t feel the need to rate already excellently rated hotels but this stay was really amazing! All the staff were extremely kind from the guy at the front gate who helped me park my rental each time to the lovely front desk lady who was there the whole time to make sure my stay was great! But especially if you guys go, visit the bar for HH and the bartender will definitely treat you to an experience you won’t forget! Also highly recommend the sunset cruise and alms giving :)

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Avoid thunder On the first day of check-in, we were asked if we wanted to participate in the New Year's Eve event and dinner, which cost 120 US dollars per person. After we clearly refused, the waiter said that we had to ask the manager for approval. ? ? Even said that some guests would pay even if they did not participate in the event. Very outrageous. The hotel is a historical building. It is understandable that some hardware facilities cannot be renovated, but it is really hard to understand that small appliances such as hair dryers cannot be equipped with a better one, but the low-power hair dryers of hotels that cost three or four hundred yuan. There is basically no service awareness. The local restaurant and Mekong River night tour were booked through the hotel, claiming that they were booked, but when we arrived at the place, the other party said that there was no reservation record... This is the first time I have encountered such an unreliable one. The breakfast options are also relatively simple, with a fixed menu ordering system every day. It was basically repeated on the third day. I ordered Lao Green Tea on the menu, but what was brought up was Twinings tea bag green tea... When leaving the hotel, my friend took the hotel's change bag to put dirty clothes (a cloth bag), but when he checked out and arrived at the train station, he was told to return the laundry bag. We left our old clothes and shoes in the hotel, and no waiter asked if they were personal belongings left behind.

Great hotel in Luang Prabang, they upgraded our room to a suite which made our stay even more comfortable. The food is delicious and we were satisfied with the choices, we ate many meals because the service and quality was so good (spring rolls were our favorite). The weather was hot and having a swimming pool was super refreshing. The location is a little far from the old town, but they offer a free shuttle so it's still a convenient location.

The location is fantastic - one of the best in all of LP. Room was big, clean and well-appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Service was well-intended, but staff were not really well enough trained to handle issues or special requests effectively. The restaurant was average at best, especially when compared to the value for money available almost everywhere else.

Great service. I booked a Mekong Suite for two nights. I didn't sleep well on the first night because of mosquitoes and the road. The next day, the supervisor changed us to a duplex and used strong mosquito repellent, which solved all the problems perfectly. I personally think the Victoria Suite is better than the Mekong Suite. When I came back at night, I found an extra bottle of red wine and a small card in the room. The supervisor said that in order to express his apology, he gave us a bottle of red wine and a free breakfast for two. Because we had dinner, we shamelessly continued to eat on the third night, although we checked out on the morning of the third day. The breakfast was great and the dinner did not disappoint.

A very nice place in old colonial style, everything is well taken care of staring from good breakfast with a variety of egg dishes and desserts to the room service who spray mosquito repellent and arrange the net around the bed before night time. Very convenient location not far from the main road where after 5:30 am one can see the Alms Giving Ceremony.
