The chateau is necessarily located in a park, decorated and lighted by Christmas time and is already mediated by the ruling/festival atmosphere. You can walk and load up just before the main entrance (it is a pleasant way to help), the parking is only a few steps away. A cozy bar area invites to drink stylishly. The restaurant area is well equipped and decorated. The food card offers a variety of vegan dishes, which can also be compiled for the menu, a good selection of different foods, as a menu combined, also to order individually or also interchangeable individually, There is a very flexible one. You can book accompanying wines at a standard price that then choose the house at every walk, or order from the wine card that is handed over as almost 10 cm thick book, accordingly you can get the number and selection of the reserved Vins are presented. The quality and refinement of the food is very good, the price/performance ratio is appropriate. The service was very careful and friendly. In the room, ten candles were burned to provide us with a real castle atmosphere, always with a careful and continuous inquiry about our wishes. The rooms are different, but just equipped and furnished according to the ”mur”. Suites in the upper floor have the advantage that no noise can be pushed down from the top deck. The real wooden foot of a chateau cannot be as sound-isolered as a concrete construction. So it comes down to the attention of the guests living there (Fernsenlaufener!!!). Our bathroom (two washing basin, bathtub and large shower) was hugely large and modernly equipped and furnished.

To start with the positives: Our room was spacious with a good sized bed and a lovely big bathroom. The staff were polite, helpful and made every effort to maintain a sense of normality despite the corona restrictions. The food was very good. For dinner one could choose between a 3 up to a 7 course meal either meat/fish or vegetarian. They were generous with a number of small tantalizing amuses (I could have eaten a kilo of the crab sesame sticks!). Breakfast was a special treat which was also kicked off with an amuse...lovely touch. Points for consideration: 4 courses should have been enough for a hearty meal but fell well short. The gardens were not at their best in October though the sculptures were well worth viewing.
